Still need to finish the Foundation DLC for Control! I really enjoyed the AWE dlc but wish I didn’t know Alan Wake 2 was being released before I played it. By the way what did you think of the Alan Wale dlc? The gameplay mechanics were getting a little tiresome.
I enjoyed Foundation as well, so I would definitely play it.
My timeline for playing is Control (when it released) > Alan Wake Remastered (earlier this year) > Control with all DLCs (after AW). Alan Wake was always on my radar, but when I it finally came to the PS Collection for free I had no excuses left haha
Alan Wake as a whole did not age too well gameplay wise… but the story is just so good and the pacing is also nice. There is always something new going on and it also has the perfect length.
Funny story for the DLCs, they are quite hidden in the Remaster (you hab to manually select them from Main Menu > Chapter Select > Extra Episode 1 and 2)
I really enjoyed them, the gave the much needed context on what’s happened to Alan after the end of the main game.
I played the hell lot of KF starting back when it was a mod of Unreal Tournament 2004. I have very good memories of LAN parties playing it all night long. But by the time KF2 came to be, I had moved on to other things.
I’m a geezer casual gamer and gave up on the first one because it got too hard for me to keep it fun. I also felt like the lack of instructions did not equate to fun puzzles to solve.
Regardless, I enjoyed the visual art and play styles, and will probably give this one a go as well.
I like GZDoom and all but it has to be one of the most unoptimized engines I’ve ever played on. It’s great for modding but for larger maps it chugs like hell and murders my CPU, I’m not sure why people would make games on it compared to a real engine.
Honestly it’s probably more for bragging rights than anything else. Selaco looks insanely friggen good and all that effort both is in service of a fantastic game as well as to be able to brag and say “I made F.E.A.R. in Doom!”
It was supposed to be an expansion for MW2 Year 2 and they once again did the thing to get more easy money. It’s also hillarious how Infinity Ward is forced to destroy they’re rep with how mw2 is poorly handled so it gives hype and good hopes for upcoming game. Classic COD cycle.
It looks amazing! That said, I backed The Repopulation and Star Citizen on Kickstarter…I’m hesitant to put my money into “hopefully a game” when I can use it now on released games.
they dont expect to be funded only by kickstarter unless they get like ten times the goal but its more to see if people want that sort of game to possibly help securing publisher funding or just fund themselves like they have done the years until now
Never has a teaser got my interest so much in the first few seconds only to slam it to zero just seconds later.
Starts off with a nice thematic shot of something that could be Black Hawks flying over Fallujah … oh yeah, we get a Black Hawk Down remake, gotta go clear my calendar. A few shots of stealth gameplay … well, not what the original was about, but why not?
“Recon arrow, out!” … “Powering up, let’s do this!” … and a dude outrunning a tank in a shot where everyone fires only tracer rounds. Meh.
Why does every studio have to release the same game over again? A while ago it was all battle royales, now everyone is releasing hero shooters.
Just don’t call it Delta Force then if it’s not a real sequel to the originals. This is more like Overwatch: Fallujah.
