What sucks is that no one is gonna buy this and Sony is gonna see it and think “I guess no one wants Horizon games anymore.” When the fact of the matter is that no one wants a Horizon game that’s identical to the one that’s already available, and runs/looks great.
It will be releasing on Steam and Xbox on the same day.
A lot of these Playstation trailers are borderline misleading. I don’t expect Sony to advertise for other platforms, but the way they present things make it look like a PS5 exclusive.
Microsoft did a lot of the same when they did their shows in the recent past. Very heavily implying that games are “Xbox exclusive” or “Console exclusive” which just meant it was exclusive for the Xbox console between the other consoles.
Hrm, no mention of the super blurry character models that I had in the demo, so maybe they fixed that since and I missed it. Most of the footage looks pretty clean in this regard, too.
I had a pretty good experience with the demo with what DF would probably call low-to-midrange at this point (3060Ti, OC’d 10600k), and I’m the kinda person that’s sensitive to frame drops/stutter. I still think I’ll wait for a performance patch to be sure, though, if not a sale. Too many games for me to buy this season anyway.
I bought it and am having a blast as well! There are definitely games I dislike, especially Barbuta (the first one). I get what it’s going for but eugh, too slow and clunky.
Magic Garden was the first game I beat - and it’s the only one I have a cherry disk on. Lots of fun, it’s not that hard once it clicks.
I’ve only went through the first ten games and my favorites are Magic Garden, Mortol, and Velgress. The latter two are kicking my ass, but I keep coming back.
I can make large and complicated games, but my 3d art skills are absolute trash. I envy you for having both skills and being able to get this far in one year. Either you’re young with time on your hands, or you’re a genius. Or both…
If they realize they can sell individual jokers, etc…at $.99 a pop as DLC, the developer is about to be a billionaire and create so many new sick people in the world.
Ooh that’s awful! How can they do this? I remember Assassins Creed 1 was better than this… They could’ve just modded Ghost Recon Wildlands with pew pew guns and glowing knives, and still would’ve been a better experience than this.
