If people like using them, more power to them, but as someone who grew up playing on CRTs, if I could have had crisp pixels instead back in the day, I would totally have chosen that.
Seems pretty interesting! Not sure how I’ll feel about a roguelike take on a souls game but if the price is right I’ll definitely get it.
Also looks like the Nameless King and the firekeeper (in a cloak) in the trailer! Could be cool if it’s all integrated into the story nicely and not just a lazy way to fill things out
I guess I’m worried it will lose some depth but to be fair I have no reason to assume that. Maybe the movement and new combat mechanics will give it more of a roguelike feel too, seems faster paced
I actually still own one of these Alienware Alphas (a Windows variant). Traded out the HD for an SSD and it’s surprising how much they could be overclocked.
Now that Steam OS is leaps and bounds better I really do hope Valve try again with this kind of gaming PC. It’s been a great entertainment center PC.
If I recall correctly at the time I bought mine, the specs and price generally made sense. But I honestly doubt that Valve will be partnering with anyone for this in regards to hardware after the steam deck’s success except perhaps as an alternative to windows. It would honestly be better for most consumers to have that alternative in store. We want steam os to become more popular.
Origins tends to be the “forgotten” title in the Arkham series since it wasn’t developed by the same studio and doesn’t feature many of the iconic characters/villains of the others (just Penguin, Deathstroke, Riddler and Joker), but IMO it’s still a very good game that can be held up with the others in the series and can introduce players to a variety of other members of Batman’s rogues gallery they may have not heard of before.
Y’all I finally watched the trailer and now i’m kinda hyped. I’ve been watching Blue Eye Samurai on Netflix and it’s giving me those vibes. Maybe it’s just the female (but maybe nonbinary) protagonist in both media, but either way, it’s working for me and now I’m eager to see more about this one.
So you don’t have taxis driving on sidewalks or motorcycles speeding down the wrong side of split avenues and you STILL have about the same road deaths and injuries per pop as Taiwan?
It’s worth noting that the link he provided is a decent overview, but it’s also really outdated as far as the decompilation community goes. If you’re at all interested in getting involved, and not just mildly curious about the high level stuff, most people start with one of two discords. One for decomp.me and the is the N64 decompilation discord.
