Rolder,

Don’t even have to kill, an injury that stops them from further adventuring would work as well. Could still have them as a consultant or whatever then

Rolder,

You’d have to get through a couple hundred hours of main story quest to get to current content.

So if you like JRPG stories and/or extensive character dress-up: Great idea do recommend

If you like endgame content and raiding and stuff: It’s not the best and probably not worth the couple hundred hours of MSQ

Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree - PREVIEW THREAD angielski

Previews for the Elden Ring DLC have just been released! Lots of journalists and popular Souls players have been to an event where they played the DLC for a few hours, giving us way more info on what to expect and things such as new weapon types and upgrade materials. This isn’t a comprehensive list, just the few that I found...

Rolder,

I believe it’s possible to avoid if the proper protocols are in place. Namely, the grid has to be turned off completely before the flare hits and then things will mostly be fine. Just wonder how well we can predict these events.

Rolder,

“No electricity” definitely sounds like an “everyone” problem lol

Rolder,

Best chance I’ll ever have personally. Live in the path, work from home, good time. Plan is to just step outside for a bit, look at it (with protection) then back to work.

Rolder,

The reason the railgun was popular was because it was the only effective way to deal with chargers. To nerf that and leave other AT weapons / charger health and armor untouched is really fucking stupid.

Rolder,

Nah, it takes ~4 unsafe shots to strip a charger leg now, so a little over twice as long.

Rolder,

For the railgun specifically, it was about the only actually effective way to deal with the multiple chargers the game likes to throw at you constantly. Now you’re pretty much fucked.

Should have brought other options up. Shifted the curve right rather then left.

Rolder,

Aside from the HMG and recoilless both being support weapons, it’s not really feasible to use the recoilless if there are multiple of them, not to mention ammo concerns

Rolder,

Oh I thought you meant the machine gun as in the support weapon machine gun, my bad. Forgot about the emplacement one

Rolder,

It’s not the same potential, though. It takes about 4 unsafe shots to strip chargers leg armor for example. Before it was 2 safe shots. That’s over twice as long and twice as much ammo.

Rolder,

The leg is the closest thing to a weak point that a charger has, though.

Rolder,

It’s not technically a weak spot, doesn’t take weak spot damage. Whereas an exposed leg DOES take weak spot damage

Rolder,

Safe shots now just bounce off the armor entirely so trust me it’s easy to tell if you’re on safe. Anyway here’s video proof of a guy testing it on unsafe mode: m.youtube.com/watch?v=4qWchqvay44

He can get it in 3 if he gets a high charge buts it’s more like 4-5 on average.

Rolder,

Bonus point, it doesn’t even work, judging from the videos I’ve seen of people cheating ammo counts or resources

Rolder,

For end game, how do you think the spheres feel? Cause I swear to god the ultra and legend spheres have bugged capture rates; no way I am getting the percentages those things advertise.

Rolder,

But at the same time, the human enemies are ones locking pals in literal cages who you can free. And none of the pals actually die when you are out fighting them in the world, they just pass out with Xs over their eyes. (Just don’t unlock the butcher knife)

Really the game lets you treat pals however you want, from never using them for work and doing everything yourself, to full on brutal working conditions. Choice is yours.

Rolder,

You also get meat, leather, organs when you capture them

Rolder,

A lot of puzzle games, especially ones by Zachtronics. Eventually I get to a point where my brain just can’t keep up and at that point I consider it done.

Rolder,

It was also me when I played Majoras Mask. Young me did not comprehend that shit at all.

Video game actors speak out after union announces AI voice deal (www.videogameschronicle.com) angielski

According to SAG AFTRA, the deal will “enable Replica to engage SAG-AFTRA members under a fair, ethical agreement to safely create and license a digital replica of their voice. Licensed voices can be used in video game development and other interactive media projects from pre-production to final release.”...

Rolder,

I’ve been trying to find the actual text of the deal to see if it fucks over the actors or not, but I can’t find the actual deal, just articles referencing it

Rolder,

Ah I think the render would be better if it was black instead of purple

Rolder,

When you have a lot of experience with games, you find that most things follow common trends and tropes. Like if I open a new shooter it’s a safe bet that shift is gonna make me sprint and things like that.

In Baldurs Gate specifically, it’s basically Dungeons and Dragons in a video game format, so if you know Dungeons and Dragons already that is a huge head start.

Well, Cities: Skylines 2 is here, and it's another broken game release. angielski

I don’t really understand how people make the review threads, but we’re sitting at a 77 on OpenCritic right now. Many were worried about game performance after the recommended specs were released, but it looks like it’s even worse than we expected. It sounds like the game is mostly a solid release except for the...

Rolder,

I don’t think it’s crazy to expect games to have playable performance levels when they release. Not to mention it’s a sequel so you’d think they would learn some things after fixing the first one.

Rolder,

I don’t think Steam qualifies still. There are still plenty of competitors such as GOG, Green Man Gaming, itch.io, Epic, Humble Store, Microsoft Store, and so on.

Rolder,

It being popular doesn’t mean it’s a monopoly…

Baldur's Gate 3 patch 3 releases today and lets you change your appearance and pronouns (www.rockpapershotgun.com) angielski

Baldur's Gate 3's Patch 3, which was so massive Larian held it back a day to test it properly, will release today, and it'll add an RPG feature many of us have been requesting since we stepped clear of the Nautiloid - the ability to change a character's appearance. Alas, it comes too late for the Wood Elf Druid I rolled during...

Rolder,

Patiently waiting for the horny Starfield mods myself

Rolder,

When are we gonna get a new Mario RPG that has similar gameplay to the first two paper marios

Rolder,

I’m not sure I’d give them well acted. The characters feel like puppets when they are talking. Maybe I’m just spoiled by BG3…

Rolder,

It’s a decent way to make money, but not really worth the effort of hunting down all the different flora and fauna. One time I had a planet where I had to land near the ocean and scan fish, that one was a total nightmare.

Rolder,

Watched some gameplay on youtube and the like, don’t see the appeal personally

Rolder,

Didn’t they push up release so they would come out before Starfield?

Rolder,

Just to post my own experience…

Finished the campaign duo with a buddy. Didn’t experience any particularly bad bugs. Had a couple times where shit didn’t load right for me but closing and reopening would fix so eh.

Kind of felt like a couple plots didn’t flow right going into act 3 but nothing that bad. Act 3 did feel overall a little rushed and unfinished but was still damn good. Some act 3 highlights: House of hope, underwater part, final boss battle (if you don’t count the gauntlet, that part sucked huge balls)
