It’s been Deadlock the last couple of days since I got the invite. Not sure if I’ll stick with it. The game has potential but I think I might be too bad at it to ever have fun playing it. Farming is insanely important and between lacking precision aim for last hits and not understanding neutral camp flash farming strats I guess I’m just always behind on economy.
I do alright in fights themselves and feel like I can theoretically perform with a couple of heroes at least, but that doesn’t really matter once you get out statted.
Maybe I’m just getting too old for fast paced shooters, it’s been a while since I played one.
Diablo 3: Season 32 and Diablo 4: Season 5 shenanigans. I'm doing pretty well in both, more so in D4 though; I am wiping the floor with my Necromancer.
I decided on playing through Alien: Isolation again. I only have two achievements left for it on my PC, so once I knock it out I can uninstall and free up some room for other games. But man, I forgot how terrifying this game can be. I always have called it the best stress I have ever experienced in a game, and it still holds up, even when I know where to go and what to do. I'm spending most of my time crawling around on the floor, lol.
Trying to actually get the good ending in Tunic, not too proud to admit I’m using a tracker this time around. And wow, I passed up SO. MUCH. last time around
I played Tunic last December and loved it, and while I found a lot of stuff, I definitely needed some help to get the good ending. I was definitely glad to have done so though.
There’s just so much hidden goodness inside! My last playthrough has me struggling less, and I found more, but apparently I just wasn’t thorough enough
I picked Satisfactory back up because I keep getting part way in and losing focus. Just unlocked tiers 5 and 6! In the process of setting up hypertubes to my major locations.
Maybe a bad time to pick up the game again, since 1.0 is releasing next month, along with the story/campaign, so you might just get to do it all over again!
Yeah I’m about to the spot where I normally get stuck right now. So I probably won’t make much progress in that amount of time anyway. I guess we’ll see!
Sounds more like a playerbase problem rather than a problem with the game. Paladins is a hero shooter very similar to Overwatch and while the playerbase (EU) isnt that big ive been finding matches for years now whenever i feel like.
If you wish to turn your brain off and pass some time then you can’t go wrong with either Destiny 2 (which is free-to-play) or Borderlands (1-3 it doesn’t matter) These are fun games with extremely addictive gunplay and all of them have Classes/Roles systems. I’d say test the waters with D2 with its fun customisation system (transmog, armour colours etc) and if that is not your cup of tea then go for Borderlands which you should find pretty cheap.
If your rank is the same as hers, you wouldn't be getting wide matches. Wide matches are specifically for teams of people with a very wide distribution of rankings, therefore the name "wide". So finish your placements and see what you get. But for me and my friends, even if we get wide matches, the longest we've ever waited was 8 minutes for a game.
For Honour. It’s a competitive sword fighting game. You’ll like the combat system. She’ll like devising a strategy on how best to lead the creeps to overrun the enemy castle.
Or maybe you’ll prefer Foxhole, a persistent trench warfare simulation game where players manufacture every bullet and build every fortification. It’s not as fast paced as Overwatch, but I bet she’ll like digging a trench for you to use for cover as you nail fools and slowly take ground from the enemy.
There is definitely pestering, doesn’t matter what they say or do. People will always pester so all we can do is hope it doesn’t get to them, which we’ve seen happen many times to others. But I don’t think there’s a reason to worry here, they know what they’re doing.
There’s also a recurring theme in all the interviews after release, they were very open about their biggest regret being how much content had to be cut from the original plans for the first game due to budget constraints. Some things were restored in the content packs afterward, but other things were too foundational to the game’s overarching structure to make sense to be patched in after the fact. The Dreamer sanctums were going to be full fledged dungeons with a big climactic boss fight with each Dreamer, the Abyss was going to be an entire zone with multiple bosses rather than a plot only area, the Coliseum was going to be part of a much more involved sidequest, and there were several major zones that just didn’t end up in the game at all. The result was still a great game, but a shadow of the absurdly ambitious project they envisioned starting out. I assume they’re making Silksong with the intention of not leaving any “what might have been” things.
