People like that CS doesn’t change. It just eventually gets visual upgrades with new engine versions. You can hop on CS, and know the exact game play you’re going to get.
Also, custom CS servers for extremely different game play are a thing.
Its a competitive game, it’s going to be free 2 play, so it’s naturally going to attract all kinds of people, including the heated, toxic, and as you put it hard-R league players. It comes with the territory of playing a competitive PvP only game. Report them, laugh at their smooth brains, mute them, and move on.
I’ve been playing quite a bit since May, and I’ve encountered way more friendly people in voice comms than not. Most matches are silent with people only using the ping system/wheel the game has baked in. About 1/2 of my losses are hit with a “gg ez” in text chat though. I respond along the lines of congrats bro, you’re better than me at a closed beta testing game with an NDA. 😂
Running cover for them though…Cmon now…thats a huge stretch…
Not sure where the official announcement of this happened, but videos and discussions of the game are now finally allowed. The game is still invite-only, but expect to start seeing it all over the place now. Popular streamers are already jumping into it....
Steam only removes games from the store, and doesn’t remove games from anyone’s library. Those affected people, if they didn’t refund, will still have HD2 in their library. There is also never install restrictions/blocking.
What’s wild to me is they’re making their own overlay for their PC games. Ghost of Tsushima is supposed to be the first release title with it. Do they not understand steam already has an overlay? I feel like 2 overlays would just compete and be obnoxious and possibly ever impact performance.
Also, why? If it is for co-op crossplay, just make linking PSN to Steam optional, and state it is needed for inviting/grouping with any PS5 friends. Then do what every other multiplatform game does and show 2 friends list in the game.
This article didn’t research the VR bits…Gabe has said multiple times, even recently, that they are working steadily on VR and it’s hardware. Their next headset even has a codename, Deckard.
Also, I don’t think most people realize Valve doesn’t have much of an internal structure. It more resembles a community of people working together because they want to.
Having played in one of the first tests, it’s far from Sea of Thieves. 1 man controls the entire ship, opposed to a crew controlling 1 aspect of the ship at a time.
