“Stray Gods” is an incredibly beautiful game. I was turned off by the playstyle at first, but then I embraced it and got really invested in the characters and the story. I recommend it to anyone who enjoys Greek mythology and/or fantastic stories about interpersonal drama and enjoys games with tough dialogue choices.
The soundtrack also!!! It’s a musical game and the songs are all SO BEAUTIFUL. I teared up a few times.
Search for The Amber Room in tg, it’s basically a new Trove.
spoiler(Don’t forget to join the group, not the channel, since that’s where all the shady things happen, and of course there are many other groups with exclusive content)
Karlach’s probably my favorite character so far in the game… Not only in personality and… Assets. But she has also carried my ass through every combat encounter I’ve had her in so far… Too bad (SPOILERS for a thing in act1)
!When I killed kagha, the other druids killed dammon, so idk how to progress her storyline now!<
spoilerI’m pretty sure you can’t progress her quest without Dammon, so you’ll have to load an earlier save (if you have one) and do your best to protect him or talk down Kagha so there’s one less shadow druid to fight
I don’t really know D&D rules… As I’ve never played D&D before, but it did feel kinda strange to be holding a scroll that can revive people an be to not be able to use it… To revive people
Btw, do you happen too know what the fck I need to do to help Gale? Like, he vaguely mentions what happened to him and this Mythra and their whole backstory together, but I have no clue where I need to go…
::: spoiler Complete the main quest without blowing him up? :::
If so, I dunno. Haven’t gotten that far yet. Until then, he’ll ask you for exactly what he needs once he has a high enough opinion of you, which SHOULD be pretty early 🤷
It’s not DnD logic, you can revivify a mosnter if you want to, although it only works if they died a minute ago max, and you can use another spell to make that last longer. Also, revivify costs diamond dust. It’s BG3 logic.
Krita does a decent job but for my workflows I definitely want the Photoshop plugin.
I would imagine MacOS has a harder time with generative fill, you'd be using Adobe's and not Stable Diffusion (which I'm pretty sure if what these non-Adobe plugins all run from).
I mean, if there's a way to get a stable diffusion server running for you and then you... no I had to look it up, I think this looks like your best bet and even then... I'm not sure
It’s slim pickings now if you need port forwarding. The vpns with the best privacy practices have left it behind. Windscribe has the best policies while retaining forwarding at the moment imo. You have to pay extra though unfortunately…
Ah damn. From what I understand, that lack of port forwarding is what’s hurting my download speeds on torrents. Windscribe wasn’t on my radar though, I’ll check it out
You don't mention how they read these books, is it a Kindle e-ink device, a Fire Tablet, or some other way? I ask because the shitification has started, they have a new file format they deliver to devices that are capable of KFX. That's anything made after the 1st Paperwhite e-ink Kindle. The new KFX file is not crackable with current NoDRM/DeDRM tools that can be found on GitHub.
As for FOSS, Koreader can be found on github and is installable on most Kobo devices as well as Remarkable devices if going with e-ink, and can be installed on android devices through F-Droid or manual install. Always read the install instructions to make sure you understand the install procedure on e-ink devices.
It's a hassle, but it works mostly, unless it's textbooks or books made for the Indian market. Mobile read has info about the changes, here and here.
It basically involves installing an android emulator to windows and using old Kindle for Android apps as the workaround, but Amazon can stop that whenever they feel like it.
Death’s Door just a stunning game in regards to art style and music/sound design. Really creative boss battles too that never felt stale. Can be challenging.
Omno very chill game with a really cool vibe and music. No combat to speak of. Short though.
Pseudoregalia PS1-style graphics but oddly gorgeous. It’s a metroidvania of sorts with some of the best movement mechanics in recent memory. Highly recommend a look at least.
A Short Hike really cute game that is all about exploration. As the title suggests, not a very long game. On the Switch version there was a toggle to turn off a graphics filter that is reminiscent of the 3DS. I personally liked it, but I have not checked the Steam version for the same option.
Sea Of Stars releases on 29 Aug, but there is a demo available. Between the gorgeous 16bit inspired graphics, the lighting effects, and the incredible soundtrack this would be an instant buy for me if it weren’t hitting Game Pass on day one! I may still plunk down on a physical copy. Leaning towards Switch, assuming it plays as well there as other platforms.
These are maybe not what some would consider beautiful, but I love the variation in art styles and how they can be beautiful while either being simplistic or retro-inspired. All but Sea Of Stars were very cheap during the Steam Summer sale or in a Fanatical bundle that may or may not still be available right now.
Firelord is an old one but gorgeous. Chicory is pretty, in a colouring book sort of way. Child of Light and Forgotton Anne have fairly similar aesthetics but are both lovely.
