Halo 3 is the only Halo game who's campaign I have never beaten other than Infinite, which I haven't touched and probably never will. I was working on fixing that, deciding to play through each Halo game in order of release on legendary, but I got side tracked. I had planned to first beat the whole Mass Effect trilogy on insanity before returning to Halo, as I've only every played the first game, but then I got side tracked again. Now I'm playing Kenshi. It's no wonder I never finish any game series... I always have the desire to restart from the beginning of a series each time, but have an attention span this small.

Kenshi is worth it lol. I don’t own it myself but played it at a friends house and had fun

I don’t know anything about that game, but good luck 👍

I personally enjoy grand strategy games. But seeing a game about an ongoing war is somewhat strange

Lembot_0004,

Ongoing war? Nah, that is an absolutely typically boring WW2-themed game.

Honestly, going 27 years (of gaming), and I never was smarter and quicker to make tactical decisions. My hand may move slower, but I don't rely on dexterity when flanking your cover.

And other gaming skills, only better.

I’m 45 and have been playing games relentlessly for 30 years now. My hands are destroyed. I can barely use controllers, my thumbs hardly work. Can’t click the space bar the arthritis is so bad. Hades and Sekiro were major culprits, button-mashing and parry precision intensity. I still play of course but it’s difficult, slow, and I just can’t play those high-action twitch reflex games anymore. Good thing there is endless games that are easier on the hands!

Have to relate to this somewhat, it’s hard to find time or interest to practice fighting games with all the accumulated responsibilities of being responsible adult and a parent. While boomer reaction time checks are one thing, the bigger problem is having to practice against multiple different matchups in 3-4 different games. Probably should play these online a lot more, currently mostly playing on locals few hours once a week.

Making great progress! Bill is such a great character. He’s turned his town into a fortress occupied only by him. Sounds great until you realize he’s been alone for years. It’s less of a fortress and more of a prison and, with the way he talks to himself, you get the sense that the isolation is starting to wear on him. Even then, when given the opportunity to leave, he doesn’t. He’s going to die alone in that place because he sees trusting others as a weakness. Something he tries to impress onto Joel. But does Joel want to be like Bill? Does he want to be like Tess? Such a great chapter!

I really liked Bill, but yeah. His loneliness definitely seems to be taking a toll. It’s weird because this is the second character named Bill i’ve seen that his loneliness problems

Stovetop,

Night and day difference between game Bill and show Bill, too. Both characters are interesting explorations of attachment vs isolation in their own ways.

No mention of Snowrunner, for shame!

(which I’ll be going back to after I’ve finished Dirt 4, which is also awesome)

World Rally Championship in the arcade was my first experience and have been a fan ever since. Even though I have EA WRC, Dirt Rally games and a wheel/pedal setup I mostly play Art of Rally.

brainwashed, do gaming w Linux users: Are we over-reliant on Steam?
@brainwashed@feddit.org avatar

I do not game on Linux exclusively, but I am very comfortable with this situation. Imagine being reliant on epic games instead. Valve is actively working on gaming on Linux and they should earn some money for the efforts, software doesn’t maintain itself… yet.
