Had a similar experience on PS3. Got online, set my status to friendly or what it’s called, and was killed constantly by vehicles. Stopped playing it then and there. I had hoped you could do co-op shenanigans and not get killed all the time.
I still remember the launch trailer. People hanging out. 10 people skydiving in a formation. People having fun in general. In reality? Get shot, get blown up, get shot by heatseeking missiles, get sniped from across the map. I played gtao on launch for a bit and then maybe a year later to see what it’s like. It was miserable, and i don’t get it.
A childhood friend of mine worked as a developer for Riot Games over a decade ago, when League of Legends first became popular. He tried to get me to play it with him, but the community was so toxic, it’s the first and only game I ever quit solely because of the community.
If you didn’t play specific characters with very specific builds, you were just wasting everyone’s time and any losses would be blamed on you. It was really bad.
I love the content and lore that comes from LoL (Arcane, K/DA, etc.), but I can’t stand the game itself.
Yeah what I never got was how did they find new perfect builds if you were not allowed to play the game freely to try new things. I mean I known the answer it was data mining but at that point is it a game or a job and you are just going through the motions. What ever happened to GG and you in something you lose some but we all had fun.
It’s compatible with Elite Dangerous, and I like it’s colour theme more this is why it looks familiar I guess.
It’s a Colonial Viper from Battlestar Galactica, that I really like. So I try to either fly Vipers or VF-1 from Macross, what I also dig :-)
I also fly with XR (3D thanks to SBS mode). VR gives me motion sickness and has some other drawbacks [for me]. See my ViperPit videos to get an idea how that looks 👍
Nie wiem, ale jeżeli innych nie ma to zapraszamy do Łodzi. Cały tydzień wypełniony różnymi wydarzeniami (co na taką pustynię jak Łódź jest sporym osiągnięciem).
Sometimes I’ll buy games on sale I have no intention to ever play. Y’know, because of the lingering guilt from the last time I played them but didn’t buy them
I played the beta on PS5 Pro and exactly had the same impression. It didn’t look good. Everything muddy and blurred, even in quality mode. In performance mode its even worse.
Personally, I didn’t have the impression that anything had changed much in the final release. The miserable graphics and performance definitely spoiled my enjoyment of the game after only 2-3 hours into the game.
There’s literally no reason to buy a game until the minute before you’re going to play it. It’s not like digital copies sell out or takes time to ship. Add games you want to play to our wishlist and buy them when you’re actually ready to play them.
I adopted this philosophy a few years ago and have bought maybe 2 games since. I played them immediately and had fun. Meanwhile I have no interest in playing my backlog games anymore. I don’t have time for them.
Income is the reason I will (typically) wait for the big sales to purchase games. I don’t have as much disposable income, so its much easier to justify spending $60 on three $20 games if they’ve been on my wishlist (or seem very appealing to me) for example than it is on one $60 game.
While I do agree with you, unfortunately games do get delisted from store fronts due to licensing deals or for whatever reason the publisher feels like. Like Ubisoft did with The Crew, even removing it from your library if you already owned it.
You’re not alone, my 2060 brother. As my build gets further into it’s twilight years I stick almost exclusively to smaller indie titles.
I bought my wife that Harry Potter game a while back and I don’t even want to try it. Even on potato mode it’s like 20fps in outdoor maps. She doesn’t seem to mind the shitty frames, thankfully.
Starfield was maybe one of the last ”modern games” I could run. 1080p and 30fps locked because It couldn’t handle steady 40fps. I havent bought any games made in 2024 or 2025. I mostly just buy older games that are now available -90% or something. My latest purchase was a remaster ed. for a 20 year old game which price was now all time low.
I haven’t tried starfield yet, but it looks interesting and I suspect I could run it at lower settings since I’m pretty sure it runs a modified Skyrim engine and Skyrim runs just fine.
Totally with you on older games on high discount. I picked up Metal Gear Rising Revengence for super cheap last year and that game is almost a decade old. I think the older rig has really helped maintain discipline to wait out the hype till games are older and I can enjoy them at a much lower cost.
