I think the Quantic Dream games (Detroit: Become Human, Heavy Rain, etc.) work well to watch since there isn’t much to miss out in the gameplay, mostly just walking, talking, and QTEs. The writing varies wildly in quality, so it’s often a MST3K-like experience with the game being mocked (at least ones I’ve watched), just depends whose playthrough you’re watching.
I was recently discussing Farcry 2 with some friends and how cool the fire spread system was - And how it essentially was never used again after that title....
Clair Obscur Expedition 33 kind of has the gaining abilities from mastering equipment thing you mentioned, it’s not really equipment in that you can’t see the items being put on, but you equip items that give abilities and after a few battles with it you master the ability and can change to another item but equip the ability through a separate resource pool.
YARG and Clone Hero (and others) exist, they’re obviously not as big as Fortnite but big enough. Also the Gibson thing you’re referring to is from CRKD, who started putting out new guitars over the summer, plus the already mentioned PDP Riffmaster. So it seems there’s at least enough demand out there that 2 companies started making new controllers for these games.
Even if the AI bubble bursts by then, chuds will probably come up with some new bullshit to keep the market inflated, just like scalpers, crypto miners, and NFT weirdos before them.
There are already some huge maps out there, Just Cause 2 and 3 both have maps at around 1000km^2^, and those games are beloved by their players. But if the next Cyberpunk game was announced with Night City now being the size of an actual large metropolis, say like New York, would you say that’s too big? What determines what...

Damn, imagine being on a team with John_KillingOfWar, inventor of KillingOfWar, and doing this. He’s gonna be so disappointed in you.
Alternate take: The patch happened because John_KillingOfWar saw this happen to his teammate and decided out of spite that tanks should be nerfed because he really likes gamer_gary12.
I refuse to entertain the idea of PS3 being retro until at least next year, when it turns 20. Now you might say “okay then, GTA V also came out on Xbox 360, which turns 20 in about 2 months” to which I say… get off my lawn!
Both games are currently on sale on Steam for about the same price ($59.99 CAD vs $58.49 CAD). I’ve never played either. I know they’re both supposed to be excellent games. My question is, for those who have played both, which do you prefer?...
I enjoyed Expedition 33 much, much more. BG3 just made me feel stressed and confused. But if you’re used to Souls games you probably wouldn’t have the same issue I did.
for me mine are 1. Elden Ring, 2. RDR2 3. BOTW, all because they genuinely blew my mind when playing them for the first time and changed how I saw and played video games.
Today’s game is some more of The Last of Us. I made it all the way through the chapters with Sam and Henry, and damn, did their death’s hit hard. They were only with me for a short while but i kinda got attached to them. Maybe it’s because the game makes you feel so alone sometimes....
