Devs need to chill with all these features. I was playing Shadow of the Tomb Raider and it runs at upscaled 4k60 and looks miles better than this one.
Of course, this is from a small studio and using nanite and lumen probably saved them a lot of time, but what good is that time saved if most PC gamers can’t play it and it abuses upscaling technology by running it at 720p and looking all fuzzy.
And before people start blaming Series S, even PS5 port struggles to run at 720p60 in this game as well as FFXVI, which is a PS5 exclusive. Jedi Survivor does the same and I can’t understand why do they think this is what we want from games in the current gen.
Its becuase they do not Balance Game Art and Graphics,Game Art gives games their Atmosohere and much more so it dies not look like a Unreal Asset Flip.

True. Though FFXVI, for example, has its own art style which looks pretty good, but whatever they’re doing with the tech is just too much for the PS5. Somewhere it feels like the devs overestimated the capabilities of these consoles.
When kid, I used to see these games (GOW, COD, battlefield,etc) and be impressed, saying to myself that i will play these great games one day but I never really had a computer or console that could be able to play these games and i lost that spark. Now, i don’t care anymore.
If you still feel that joy and happiness seeing these games enjoy this sensation, because it will one day dissappear.
Priorities will always shift as we move though the different seasons of life, and for sure the launch of a big marquee title that I’m interested in doesn’t have the same drama it did, now that I’ve lived though a couple-few decades of them. I have to say, though, that I still love the experience of being transported to a fantasy setting, or exploring a strange new world with friends, or testing my skill against other players. I’m looking forward to when I can introduce the hobby to my kid, and share that joy with him.
It’s a FPS with bullet, grenade replaced by magics. It follows some streamlined lite metroid component for unlocking new ability for traversal and encounters/puzzles are paced pretty okay. Quite a bit of platforming section as well if you like that kind of thing. I have not finished the game yet but it seems to be a pretty short run and can finish over the weekend(no mtx). It does look really nice when you have the rig to run.(I used default settings it picked for my 6800XT and never feel jitter or frame rate dip problem.)
Take that up with Games Workshop I guess. The average Space Marine does wear one. Rule of cool I guess. That nonsense has been seeping into other races figurines now, and it is stupid imo.
Characters faces are sometimes shown to humanize the character, to help the player feel closer to the character, so the player is not confused about who that character is, etc.
Sometimes the character model uses the likeness of a real person, and the contract with that person dictates that the face must be visible for all or a large portion of the gameplay.
And a lot of the features don’t have a reason to engage with them. E.g. Vehicles. You get a spaceship at the start, so most of the vehicles you get later are very much a downgrade. And that Exo Mech which had an entire update dedicated to it. To me, it just illustrated why mecha are a silly concept, namely everything you can do with them can be done better with other vehicles. The game is basically a toybox, and none of the toys really keep my attention.
Just wanted to comment that land vehicles have their purpose because take off in the ship takes a noticeable amount of fuel (though not as bad as it used to be) It’s not bad but you can drive around to get resources in vehicle much easier (assuming you’re trying to explore a bit). Not saying you’re completely wrong or anything, once you get so far you rarely need to go resource gathering anyways.
Base building is kinda fun if you’re into it (plus you get to build the inside of your freighter like a base) and there’s lots of missions and a decent chunk of story somewhere in there. It’s pretty shallow but more like a wading pool than a puddle at least. It’s fun to relax with and wander but I tend to lose interest before I can find the new ships and all so haven’t even got a living ship yet had it since release.
I got really into for like 100 hours way after they fixed everything and then I see these cool updates but don’t really have any interest in touching it again
This gives me a little hope that we can at least emulate the PS4 version (using pcsx4). This can be done already with the PS3 version but the requirements are hefty and it’s pretty clunky.
My thinking was the graphics themselves actually, on the assumption that the Switch version wouldn’t look as good, but wasn’t considering that this is an old title so probably won’t matter
Wake me up in two years when they add Female MC and The Answer please. I wouldn't mind as much if they were released as DLC but you just know it will be a separate "Persona 3 Reload Ultra Blue" release or whatever.
