I personally loved the building in the game. At least in 2 it was a lot better. Luckily they ported most of the improvements from 2 into the first game.
I'm in the middle of a Subnautica replay and it's very much "fuck man where is the thing" combined with "I swear that thing was right here last time I played."
Horrible, but also really impressive how they manipulate people. Forced engagement in the weekend leagues, resetting the game periodically…the addicts don’t stand a chance.
It should be fun. The Fanfest presentations went well and players are cautiously optimistic about Vanguard. Dust was popular, but not successful commercially. In part, that’s because it was a console exclusive that tied to a PC-only main game. If anyone has questions about EVE, let me know.
I haven’t heard anything about how vanguard will tie into the economy, but I wouldn’t be surprised.
There’s a new pirate faction-team-up called "the deathless"and several new pirate ships, and I would imagine that Vanguard players might get faction LP which they could sell or use.
Most games do have limits on it after creation but I did remember just now that the Saints Row series did just this. I just have Starfield on my mind and forgot.
The implementation is through The Magic Mirror, which is the same thing Divinity: Original Sin 2, their previous game used. So probably less inspired by Starfield.
It’s something not every game needs for sure; since it’s based on real world based feedback when a game could be way beyond the world’s scope.
But putting it as a marketing thing is as dumb as putting dei as a marketing thing. Whether it’s needed or not will depend a lot based on what the game’s story and theme is based on.

Idk chuds love licking the capitalist boots and pay extra for it, and the investors care only about that. When you view it through that lens, it’s not dumb.

What is this attempting to convey? I think it got lost in typos.
You must at some level make a product that is attractive and relatable to your audience or you will never sell a product, and the only way to do that is by taking aspects of the existing world.
So he could ask Valve who, if the fanboys are to be believed, might actually do something about it, or go ask Elon to fix Twitter who will certainly not
