paraphrand, do games w Even Starfield's community patch modders are growing 'disenchanted' with the sci-fi RPG, as volunteers depart in droves: 'If nobody comes forward, we may have to retire the project'

That’s how projects go. But I bet it happens faster when enthusiasm for a game has the curve this title did.

Drbreen, do games w Ubisoft patch Splinter Cell Blacklist after 12 years to add achievements

They should set themselves their own achievement to release another fucking SC game. Don’t worry about us, we’ve already played the shit out of these games.

Kjell,
@Kjell@lemmy.world avatar

As long as they make as good as previous SC games. I have a feeling that a new SC game would be significantly worse than the older games. When was the last time Ubisoft created something good?

TankovayaDiviziya,

I heard Assassin’s Creed Shadows is decent if not good. But overall, it looks like AC Origins is the last properly good Ubisoft game.

Kjell,
@Kjell@lemmy.world avatar

I can imagine Shadows being decent and on the limit to good. Now I have not played any AC since Origins, but I can’t imagine it has changed much. Except that they have different seasons in Shadows, which is a nice feature. And it is fine if a game sticks to a concept, for example CoD have not changed much and they still sell plenty of games every year. However, if Ubisoft delivers good games, around 80 on metacritic, with their cash cows and they perform worse with other games then that does not bode well for a new Splinter Cell.

With that being said, of course I hope that a new SC is released and that it is really good.

Drbreen,

Yeah this is my only fear

I’m just hoping there’s eventually some form of private server similar to FiveM so I can have my Dune roleplay.

I have used a tool (not this one specifically) that could do this specifically for its other function of calculating the worth of all your steam trading cards/marketable game items, and to batch sell them when I have enough to get something with the cash.

Does total include the Old Spend?..and what is Package Only? None of these numbers seem to add up to each other. Or are they also separate.

Also what lazy dev just posted the query column names instead of decoding them for the end user

setsneedtofeed,
@setsneedtofeed@lemmy.world avatar

From the page with the values:

“OldSpend” is the amount of external funds applied before Friday, April 17, 2015 18:00:00 UTC.

From Steam support regarding package only:

This row includes the portion of the account’s total funds spent that could not be transferred. For example, a hardware purchase, gifted game, or in-game item does not count toward Package Only Spend, but a game purchase for your own library would.

ExtantHuman,

Yes, I read that. It did not clarify what I was asking.

setsneedtofeed,
@setsneedtofeed@lemmy.world avatar

You asked what package only means, and I found an answer.

Total is total, with old spend being the cutoff of old spending.

None of the numbers are guaranteed to add up to each other.

I don’t know what’s missing from the reply.

    Damn, $2487.15 over 5 years. I wonder if it factors in games i got externally by guesstimating the price though

    slimerancher,
    @slimerancher@lemmy.world avatar

    It’s about external funds added to your steam account, so it should only be actual money, and not guessing the price of games.
