ABCDE,

They had another which had a sliding front to reveal the Mega Drive slot. I think it was light grey.

ABCDE,

This was about a week ago, since then it was unblocked, then reblocked. Note, this is only the store itself (and the store within Steam), you can still play your existing games, so it seems they have blocked the store front to hamstring or reduce sales so that Valve will then pay whatever tax amount is going to be asked for.

ABCDE,

And a special mention for the Samba de Amigo controllers which I only got to use once because… I thought I would be able to pick a set up after seeing two in GAME (for maybe £99.99 inc. the game?), then ended up selling out and never coming back into stock.

ABCDE,

I went for the GameSir G7 SE, one black and one white, so me and the missus have our own controllers. The black one has a click to the face button which is quite nice.

I thought I would miss wireless, but the batteries draining on my wireless pad (official) and the slight delay means I prefer the G7 instead. The cable is long enough that we can sit comfortably back on the sofa from our 55" screen. Oh, and the pads came with a month of Game Pass Ultimate so really helped justify them (just over $30 each?). Never thought I’d live to see a third-party controller this good, sold my official one for more than I paid for these.

ABCDE,

Genesis was a surprise smash hit…then Sega just spewed out consoles; 32x, Sega CD, mega drive, Saturn… Probably more. In that same time span Nintendo released…N64.

Nintendo had the SNES, N64, N64 DD, GameBoy Pocket, Colour, Advance, etc.

Build a winner, milk it. Release another winner right as the previous one is winding down. Nintendo has mastered that formula.

Every other generation; they’ve not been consistent in their success. The N64 did quite well, the GameCube was okay, the Wii did great, the Wii U did not, the Switch has done very well, I reckon the next won’t.

ABCDE,

The Virtual Boy too, I forgot about that.

ABCDE,

I felt similar about the Remake, it was… Just lacking something. I never played the original so my connection wasn’t so strong, I just expected more.

ABCDE,

It’s over ten years old, what’s the review for?

ABCDE,

Okay, thanks.

ABCDE,

Usually reviews are for new games as old ones will have been covered in detail already.

ABCDE,

That’s true, I’ve not come across anything like this with reviews many years later, just retrospectives in EDGE and stuff like that. I’m a fan of the Chinese Room and own the game, but I’ve not played it before. I’ll check the video later, least of all as I’ve been playing a lot more indie (and older) stuff of late.

ABCDE,

Usually not after the first month post-release. I’m not against the concept though, just never heard of it.

ABCDE,

How is the game now? I bought it a while ago because the reviews were so good, then Balatro stole all of my time.

ABCDE,

Wealth in what way? I think I gave them five pounds but that’s was it. I’ve gotten a lot more out of it than that.

ABCDE,

There’s more to it than that.

ABCDE,

I think I have all the ones from eggs which are possible, I’d need to check though. Regional Pokémon haven’t been limited for a while, you can get them in 7km eggs which you get from others.

ABCDE,

Not a very nice response to an honest discussion. Try again.

ABCDE,

Which still may not have recouped development costs. Shadow was on PS2, no other console got close to their sales. Costs to convert it to other platforms may have been more than profit from sales on Xbox and GameCube.

ABCDE,

Rocket League and Fall Guys are also on there. Not sure how much paid games sell there though.

ABCDE,

Get a Deck.

ABCDE,

The addiction is very real. We are playing it daily, with 120 hours and now going into the challenges.

ABCDE,

And from you! Glad this has finally been amended.

ABCDE,

And they repeatedly ignored my requests for games which didn’t work, as it was three weeks or thereabouts.

ABCDE, (edited )

I didn’t have the time to play it, tried to play it once and it didn’t work. I have a life and it often gets in the way, especially if I buy something on sale with the intention to play it later.

I’m honestly surprised you are defending it; if my car, bought new, stopped working through my continued usage in its first year, it would be repaired for free. A game which I booted up once after three weeks wouldn’t work… And I get told “no”. Not really acceptable. 30% fee for zero accountability and my money lost.

ABCDE,

Or my phone, or my TV, or my (insert device here).

Faulty goods are faulty goods.

Err no. Grow up.

ABCDE,

That already happens; I’ve got a few thousand games on Steam so I’m not taking the piss when I want to refund a faulty game. My total is probably five or ten refunds in the life of my account (almost 20 years).

ABCDE,

Balatro has taken that mantle for the moment (over a hundred hours in under two weeks). Other similar games would be Cobalt Core (finished with all characters, don’t feel the need to go back though) and… Monster Train (it’s okay, not as tight as the others).

ABCDE,

StS doesn’t really have a story, but yes, it has characters instead; I don’t really mind either direction, Balatro’s fight-against-the-game is essentially the same thing.

They are different, and I do enjoy them both in their own ways. Balatro’s heavy focus on combinations (and regular stores) means decks can shape quite quickly into something very unique. It’s also more accessible as the games are shorter; StS can be an hour if successful, if not more. My comment is more that Balatro is newer and has at least satisfied the itch which - after being out for years - StS has perhaps not been able to do in such a way for a while.

ABCDE,

Likely nothing, maybe one title if it’s shorter and I’m done with Balatro for a while.

ABCDE,

I’ve done it on the Magic Deck; I do think it has a lot of luck involved at the higher stakes, sadly, it could definitely do with a bit of balance or engineering to make each run possible (as Slay the Spire always seems).

ABCDE,

Went to buy it… Already own it. Probably won’t play it anyway.

ABCDE,

It’s on Game Pass if that’s of any help

ABCDE,

Halls is great, I need to go back and check if they’ve added anything else.

ABCDE,

What happened?

ABCDE,

Does the combat in BG3 get better? Felt clunky to me and not sure I should continue.

ABCDE,

That does look nice, and under $4 in my region… Fine!

ABCDE,

That looks okay. What’s with all the DLC?

ABCDE,

Ouch, that’s a shame.

ABCDE,

Thanks, I don’t really have any attachment to the DnD brand so doesn’t bother me. Will go for the base game.

ABCDE,

Wasn’t FFTA a good translation and earlier than the PSP version? I loved that.

  • ABCDE,

Bought it four days ago exactly… already put thirty hours into it. I need to stop.

    ABCDE,

Similar to Horizon Dawn in that sense?

    ABCDE,

$60 in Vietnam, that can get tae fuck.

    ABCDE,

Visual novels, and the Frog Detective series.

Doki Doki Literature Club being the biggie (or well-known one), Florence is very sweet, Yenba is also very nice (Game Pass).
