Expecting your first indie release to be perfect is putting insane expectations on yourself. The worst things you can do at this point are to give up or fail to reflect on what you’ve learned. Think on what you would have done differently with what you know now - and then do not waste the lesson.
I still regret that I didn’t find an appropriate figure without pants for Diarrhea 4. Not to mention it will probably be years until I can find the energy to implement aliens you can shart on.
Yes! Katawa Shouju. I don’t actually like it that much, but as a cultural phenomenon I love it. Everything about it is hilarious in all the wrong ways. It’s perfection.
It has a video cutscene that’s similar, But it is very disappointing and bare compared to New Vegas. You get either 1 of 3 video cutscenes depending on if you sided with the institute or someone else (and the players gender), then next 3 are always the same, then the final one changes based on your gender. Really simple. We don’t get any sort of cutscene telling us what happened after to companions, or summarizing quests. It’s really disappointing, at least to me.
Cass is great, and a lovely nod to Fallout 2 as well which I loved. She was the first companion designed for F:NV so she wasn’t as rushed as all the others. I wish every companion had as much to say as Cass does.
She’s got a lot of character which I like. Especially compared to Veronica (my previous favorite because of how her lore ties into Dead Money) I feel like there was a lot of depth to Cass, Especially in her quest.
Performance wise I can get about 3.5 Hours out of it on Medium Settings, Refresh Rate 40hz, TDP set to 10, and clock speed at 1000.
Big wise I’ve had a few bugs, nothing too major and I suspect it was just New Vegas being New Vegas (except for one I had where VATS would crash the game. I had to repair the filesystem for that)
If you’re worried about bugs I think you should be able to get Mod Organizer 2 running on Steam Deck, and with all the various stability mods installed New Vegas runs fairly well. The Viva New Vegas mod guide is a great place to start, it should have most of what you need to get going.
if this is true I’d recommend sending GamersNexus an email with the details as they might be able to help considering their past actions to hold companies accountable
It’s true, but it’s Steam policy. If you haven’t reached the threshold for the month, you are not getting a payment. I guess I just have to sell more games and do better next time. I mean with Steam Sale events I will probably get there eventually.
