This is not a delay. They are updating the window from "Early 2023-24," which the article states is likely anytime this past year to the end of their fiscal year at the end of March to... "Q4 2023-24" which ends at the end of March. So there's no real change to when it could release by (yet).
I’m happy they stuck close to the original. I wouldn’t be interested if they added a bunch of new areas. The triple combo seems interesting, but even that is a bit off-putting for me. I really do just want the old game with better graphics.
They literally just announced three more cover colors, (got the announcement email yesterday), I doubt they’ll phase them out that quickly. Even if they decide to go fast, I’d think they at least be smart enough to wait until after the holidays.
Saw that but these won’t work on the new model so I doubt they make more. Unless of course they’re for the revision but I don’t know how that’d work with the new design.
Would you normally replace a perfectly functional console with a smaller but otherwise identical machine? Do what you want with your own cash but that’s a very decadent purchase!
I’ve loved the cyberpunk genre since its inception, and loved Witcher 3, but skipped this game because I don’t like vomiting. Some of us just can’t play FPS games without terrible nausea, especially when they have a field of view that can’t be zoomed out very far.
I think it really worked to pull the player in and immerse them into conversations and show off the insane facial animation tech that is JALI, but yeah an option would be nice.
“They say the old caretaker of this place went absolutely crazy. Chopped up his entire staff. Of robots. All of them robots. They say at night you can still hear the screams. Of their replicas. All of them functionally indistinguishable from the originals. No memory of the incident. Nobody knows what they’re screaming about. Absolutely terrifying. Though obviously not paranormal in any meaningful way.”
Ive only seen the haunted police car once in my game, and it was after someone complained about it with a post on here. It made me crack a smile. I hope it stays.
Or… maybe development costs have just gotten stupidly high? There are a lot of great indie games for a few bucks that pack a heck of a lot more fun and experimentation than a lot of the cookie cutters garbage coming out of a lot of big studios lately. I’m honestly sick of every facet of my life trying to bleed me dry of any spare cent I get.
I just recently played Hrot, and it has been one of my favorite shooters to come out as of late. A game made by a Czech dude in a custom engine that he wrote for $16.00. I’ll play four separate games like that before I spend $70.00 for many competing AAA games out there. Not that high budget games shouldn’t have a place, but sometimes less can be more.
Interesting, but he has been with them for a long time now. I'm curious if he'll have any interest at joining Tango since Shinji Mikami founded it and they share a history of mentorship and alignment on directive philosophies, or if he's more interested in doing something totally new. I'm eager to hear about it
My biggest complaint with the first game is that the stat scaling made no fucking sense. It was more optimal to level a class other than the one you wanted to play and only then swap to the class you like after maxing out (in most cases). I hope they revamp how the progression works otherwise I’s be happy playing the exact same game
