I can’t remember how much isk I have on my accounts but I’ve no interest in playing again but I guess I should do something with it. Maybe I can buy a few capitals and go on suicide mission to burn it all.
Kinda sad you can’t just trade it to get some of the £1k’s spent over the years. 😞
Heck yeah! I’m in Dreddit, the founding corp in TEST Alliance, and we have a mentorship program, free ships/skillbooks/etc program, and a no-nonsense help channel. It’s a great place to learn how to play or re-learn after a hiatus. We’re in Soverign Null Security Space, which is where all those big EVE stories come from.
that's part of every subscription business plan, sadly. The rotation helps keep subscriptions up longer as people have to wait for things to cycle back around.
Are people really going to wait? I thought the whole point was that either the service has to pay for the on-loan games, or if it’s their own product it encourages you to just go buy it if you liked it so much.
Yeah, people definitely wait. Don't have any stats, but I hear people talking about it all the time with regards to streaming services.
THe service does pay for on-loan games, but that's not a reason to rotate. They're paying regardless. THey rotate to try and keep things fresh so people don't cancel.
Oh, as far as video, absolutely. If it leaves one you wait for it to come back on another. But for video games, I just assume once it’s gone, it won’t come back again any time soon. I think there’s kind of different expectations.
Oh yeah, they're probably not waiting months for something to come back. Companies know what's popular, so they tend to stagger those. So people will not cancel if they know next month or the month after is going to be something they want to play.
If you're only interested in one or two games, you'll just buy those (until they stop letting us buy games and force us to rent them).
The rarest of powers. It is said that it is something only achievable by the youngs that were not yet corrupted by the world. And still it is a challenge to wield this power more than once or twice as an adult.
Absolutely loved playing the OG Crystal Chronicles with three friends and was very, very excited when a remake got announced. I mean, it’s so easy now that everyone is playing on their own Switch, right? Imagine fucking up the concept and spirit of the game so hard with the remake.
These guys fucking get it. Buiilding the hypercube is absolutely Chad behaviour.
And what still blows my mind is that the game supports cross save, but shared campaign progression is where we draw the line?
God forbid a game about sharing an adventure with your friends in a traveling caravan actually allows you to share an adventure and be a part of the caravan.
At EVE FanFest in Iceland today, they were talking for a bit about the new Excel plugin. It’s supposed to make it easier for people to make their crazy market spreadsheets by hitting the API from within Excel.
That said, I don’t use spreadsheets, and I don’t think most players do. Unless you choose to go hard on market manipulation or something, it’s not necessary.
Bethesdas remaster would probably be nothing more than a version with updated graphics and lighting and support for modern software. This guy is rebuilding the game from scratch in a modern engine.
Fun fact there were olny six years between Oblivion and Skyrims release. Thats right skyrim has been out longer than the release time between oblivion and skyrim.
Which is in itself a slightly updated version of Oblivions gamebryo, which was conceived in the 90s. Calling it a modern engine is extremely generous if not completely wrong.
These people are rebuilding the game from "scratch" in Skyrim's Creation Engine version, but it's still nothing more than a version with updated graphics and lightning. Bethesda's probably going to be using FO4 or Starfield's CE version, which will have the same result albeit shinier.
