Gacha genre, it feels like. Addicting, but ultimately terrible for your health, though maybe a bit inverted, fast food affecting the body and as a consequence the mind, and gachas first the mind and as consequence the body.
Did you know YouTube has games now? They load near instantly, easily accessible on mobile or desktop, and they’re p much all shit. Most of them are basically generic asset flips or imitations of popular mobile games. I really can’t think of anything closer to cheap fast food.
Cyberpunk 2077. (At first I was thinking CoD but I’m no multiplayer player) There’s no new mechanics, if you know the source material there’s also nothing new. Dialogues are so so and the expansion story line is awful.
In my opinion it’s a basic game with a new gen console veneer, anyway I’ve played the story 2 times
Cyberpunk have clear gamification mechanics in it but that’s not the point.
Fast food food are easy to digest with low effort production, Cyberpunk don’t try to incentivize something new, it used mechanics that we have seen a hundred of times and clear story beats for all its plot points.
Don’t get me wrong, you’re allowed to have fun with it but there’s nothing new in there
Ooh, that is an interesting idea. Isn’t 8’s version of the map a little different? Maybe after 21 years, at some point the expansion is finished and that’s actually what we’re driving on
As a plot and gameplay device i love when games with party mechanics remove the Main Protagonist from the party for a bit and have you control someone else.
Same! These moments always feel special. I also really love how Wall Market is depicted in this chapter.
I really struggle to remember weaknesses and tips. I just figured out at least that I don’t need to cast Assess every time, I can just hit select which makes things far easier
oh man I think there is a video somewhere on youtube where the dev talks about Lara’s “growth” from the first game to the third like lmfao I think this was intentional.
I’ve pulled an allnighter with this game after letting it sit in my library since it was in early access, it’s fucking awesome! i’ve stopped an hour ago because i realized that i started to slow down and make more mistakes; gonna take a nap and then it’s on again lol
I had played quite a bit of early access and had exhausted most (not all) the then content and I started up a run and already was seeing new so that was a delight!
I would be surprised honestly. Technology has stalled pretty hard, tariffs and hardware is not in a great spot, PS5 still looks great and honestly there’s not going to be much to sell a customer base. I could see them doing it, but it might be wiser to kick it down the road for a few years until things get a bit better, like they did with the PS3 and 360.
