They literally ssid they kept the mechanics running on the original engine so the game retains its “bethesda charm” and upon playing it, it became immediately obvious that Todd 100℅ believes what was charming about their games is the jank and bugginess. 🤦♂️
I really hate the fact that Morrowind was such a landmark, amazing, beautiful game in nearly every way (for the time) and they have managed to regress on every single front from that in every single game they have made after.
I agree with Todd in the sense that the jankyness is part of Oblivion’s charm. However, I believe that the jankyness only works in a game from 2007, which has weird graphics and an overall surreal vibe. The jankyness is not charming in the dark fantasy of Skyrim nor in the hyper-realistic remake/remaster (whatever people call it).
Ninja Gaiden Ragebound: Not finished yet, but having a total blast playing it. Great/responsive controls, level design is great and enemies telegraph their attacks properly, like it should be in an action game

I remember a while back, thinking I’ll be done with StS once I beat ascension 20. Then, I’ll just get 20 with the first three characters. Now I’m eyeing the leftover achievements. Never ends. StS2 will destroy me lol.
Same for me. I put an unholy amount of time in StS on all platforms and haven’t all achievements yet! :-) OTOH, there are worse ways to waste your lifetime. ;-)

I’m excited too play though! I like to give games a try myself and not just take popular consensus on them (assuming the games are morally just ofc) and I wanted to try this. The consensus seems to be all over the place because I see people saying either it was really good Or it was the worst thing ever. I’m excited though to try it
Yeah, just like ODST and Reach Firefight, there is no player count spawnrate modifier, so it’s all balanced around playing with 4 players, thus try it solo or even with 2 players is pretty miserable.
