No, I do not care about the developer anymore too.

I do not give a single fuck about any of them anymore. I want to own the game I buy. I don’t want anyone being able to pull the plug. I also want to own the hardware or console I buy. I am ready to watch their existence to crumble as long as I get what I want.

These people lied and conned this hobby of mine into monetised shite. I hope a lot of them somehow crash and burn. Would laugh and dance when they croak. I can play Factorio and Terraria until the heat death of the universe. Edit: This far 2 gamers finally put their signatures on it and 4 non gamers went with it too. So with me we’re at 7 signatures.

I did my part. But I think it won’t be enough. Yes, after Ross spoke up every content creator and their grandparents started shitting in Pirates mouth and is advertising the petition like crazy. But sadly these kind of things are a bit circle jerky and will be watched by the same people.

Learning Yasuke was based on a real person did little to assuage critics. Asian men in particular argued Schmidt-Hori was trying to erase them, even though her role involved researching historical customs and reviewing scripts, not creating characters.

I think I didn’t buy or play anything Ubisoft since Far Cry 4? And even that was more of an accident.

So from my perspective Ubisoft is that one flaccid one night stand who is still screeching about stuff while I moved on years ago.

Over the years I have learned to pay attention to certain keywords that made me be extra careful about games advertised. So when I heard of AAAA, I immediately knew that CEO was on ketamine and the game will start as a dumpster fire.

The player references not only Elden Ring but also Bloodborne in this regard. He says that game director Hidetaka Miyazaki cut a large chunk of Bloodborne out of the game. This was revealed in an interview where Miyazaki discussed players transforming into a beast. The player believes that this transformation feature is in Bloodborne but wasn’t ever added to the playable game.

This. That’s why I gave up on arguing with people a long time ago. There is a shimmer of hope in me that this industry still comes crashing down at some point. I would celebrate it. But by the looks of it, it won’t happen anytime soon.

The best I could do is not buying anything on release, early access or riddled with microtransactions, mostly indie games and maybe one AAA title a year, also avoid certain studios. Oh, and also don’t really care at all when these kind of news come up. I cared back then, I voted with my wallet and still do, but the other side won. Shit happens. There is nothing I can do other than get angry, but that’s not worth the hassle.
