Was hoping for a discount on Spilt Fiction. Nothing so far.

Bought it a few years ago. Super cool, though I probably only messed around with it a couple hours before forgetting about it.

Platypus Reclayed
store.steampowered.com/app/…/Platypus_Reclayed/

Remake of the 2002 shoot-em-up game led by the original creator Anthony Flack.

It felt so good playing the demo. It feels just like the original but with significantly higher fidelity visuals — just how it should be. I have a lot of nostalgia attached to this game and I can’t wait for the full game to release.

How do you keep track of what games you have played over the years? angielski

Hiya, just newly thought about something: wouldn't be nice if there was a simple way of checking what games you have played over the years, a way to keep track of wether you liked the game or not, how much time you spent playing it etc.. Currently, personally i only check steam library for those kinda details. But it would be...

Got strong Journey vibes from it before realizing it’s from the ex-staff at thatgamecompany.

This game is alive! Going from a 2022 expected release to 2026 is crazy.

Didn’t they start offering free repairs at some point due to it being such a widespread issue? Or did they stop doing that at some point?

I know die-hard Nintendo fans who were unaware of it until I let them know. It’s not like Nintendo advertises it publicly.

Day 263 of posting a Daily Screenshot from the games l've been playing angielski

Today’s game is Palworld. I completely forgot i even had this game until today. A friend gifted it to me on launch, we played once or twice, and then it never got touched again until today when I decided “what the heck” and reinstalled it to take a break from Shadows and invited my friend to play with me. I think one of...

Been meaning to give it a try. Hopefully later this week.

Thanks for your post!

Voting rights and extra insight are fine, but I feel a “Humble Bundle”-esque membership would work well. For $x a month you get a few games to keep.

Liking this post series. Looking forward to the next one!

After Years of Struggling To Be Noticed, My Indie Game Was Covered By VICE (lemmy.world) angielski

For context : have no idea how they found about it, but I love that they are illuminating indie games. And VICE.com has 12 million monthly readers. This is insane for me , because for a long time I was struggling for the game to be noticed. (If you want to follow how development of the game is going, a simple wishlist on Steam...

“We also have something really crazy in this game that’s gonna happen at the end, and I can guarantee you, you’ve never seen it in a video game before. It’s really fucked up."

👀 curious

Heck yes. I’ve been a big fan of all of his releases.

I would need more evidence to conclude that the list was generated using AI.

I don’t think there’s much argument over the merit of each of these games. Most “best games of all time” lists would have these games. I think it’s natural that critically acclaimed and widely beloved games show up on both the Rolling Stone’s list and in GPT 4o’s training data.

I can understand arguments regarding the order of their list however. That was my intention when submitting the link – to stir up discussion regarding the order they chose for the games.

Random Screenshots of my Games #55 - A Way Out (lemmy.world) angielski

Don’t worry, I’m alive! I took the holidays off and traveled to visit family, then had a hard time getting back into posting about the games I’ve been playing, so I apologize for my nearly 2 months of silence. I actually have a bunch of games lined up that I want to write about, so hopefully you’ll see more posts in the...

Replayed it for the third time a few weeks ago.

Looking forward to Split Fiction after thoroughly enjoying A Way Out and It Takes Two.

Enjoyed the first one. The lack of a map was agonizing though. Kept getting lost in the world. I believe you only unlock it after credits roll.

Help me out: which looks better for the Duck - the neck tie or the bow tie? (lemmy.world) angielski

So I’m re-doing some of my Do Not Press The Button (Or You’ll Delete The Multiverse) character models and I have this duck that is kind of inspired by the Companion Cube in Portal. I want to make it as appealing as possible so the players will attach to it and carry it around with them. Which looks better! I’m more partial...

what was the last game you played in 2024? angielski

Happy new year guys!😀 Just now, it hit midnight here, and it’s officially 2025. I was playing Pennon and Battle, and I realized it’s the last game I played in 2024!! That gave it a different kind of meaning. Now I’m curious, what was the last game you played in 2024?

lazycouchpotato,

The Quarry

Haven’t completed it yet, so it’ll be the first game I play in 2025 😅

Sony already owns Crunchyroll. Giving a corporation this much control over anime/manga would be disastrous.

lazycouchpotato,
@lazycouchpotato@lemmy.world avatar

Adored the game. It’s fun and I love the chill vibes. I wish the in-game map was a bit better to make navigation easier.

I’m all for cat games. Stray, Little Kitty Big City – gimme more!

lazycouchpotato,

A dumpster fire of a situation. 8 years of development, $400 million reported budget, game shut down after 2 weeks and now the studio closed.

AAA gaming is a hot mess right now.

Greatly appreciate the followup!

Random Screenshots of my Games #36 - Kona (lemmy.world) angielski

Kona is a supernatural detective story, taking place in Northern Quebec in October 1970. You play as Carl Faubert, a private investigator from Montreal and a veteran from the Korean War. He’s hired by the wealthy industrialist, William Hamilton, to come to Atamipek Lake and investigate a simple vandalism issue. Most of...

Random Screenshots of my Games #21 - Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice (lemmy.world) angielski

Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice is an incredible game dealing with psychosis and mental trauma. It’s about a Celtic girl named Senua who is journeying to the Viking Hel to bargain with Hela for the life of her lost love. She literally carries his head in a cloth tied to her belt....

Started Hellblade II during the weekend. Visually it’s the most impressive game I’ve played so far.

What I struggle with is keeping up with the story and all of the runestones and dialogue and everything. I enjoyed Hellblade I but had to go through the plot on Wikipedia after completing the game to understand what I had just played.
