Game had its big final several years in the waiting boss show up and its storyline basically ended. Now it feels more like we’re doing post game sidequest stuff.
Also theres various reports of bungie firings and d2 being in maintenance mode while they try to push out a tarkov knockoff
Maybe its changed up since I last read about it, but when I did it, iirc it was an extraction shooter, they brought a bunch of Tarkov guys out to try it, and asked them if they’d stream it if it was live, to which all of them gave a hard no. Maybe it hadn’t been cooked enough yet so it didn’t have a compelling vibe, or maybe Bungie decided to change shit up since then, couldn’t say. I’m not a extraction shooter fan in any case so the whole thing has no appeal to me.
Grabbed Children of the Sun (Reg 14.99, 40% off to 8.99) and A Little to the Left (Reg 14.99, 50% off to 7.49) personally. Both are puzzlers but the former is far darker then the latter.
Nothing more disappointing to me than seeing a game I might enjoy… and then it’s only available on PC on Epic Games store. Why can’t it be available on Epic, Xbox game store and Steam? It’s so annoying, like you have no choice but to use Epic… which I would literally do ANYTHING not to use.
Infinite Wealth was deffo a bigger map and set thereof then its predecessors (Like a Dragon was also substantially larger, as was Lost Judgment in comparison to its predecessor), but it did absolute numbers, so I dunno about that.
I think it comes down more to if it feels appropriately sized and filled. Prior Yakuzas were bursting at the seems with shit to do everywhere in their smaller maps. Breath of the Wild had new and interesting shit going on everywhere too.
I’ve heard that it’s a two week ban, which for a streamer is huge, since any day your banned, subscriptions do not auto-renew. Guy will lose half his recurring income. Depending on the fan he could get it back of course since they could re-sub after he’s back, but there’s still gonna be a big chunk of folks who will either forget, forgot they were subbed to begin with and thus not notice they were un-subbed, or just use that as their clean break moment.
After a bit of looking into it: He has an unmonetized alt channel zackrawrr that is his primary streaming channel, but his main asmongold channel is still monetized and can be subscribed/donated to. I don’t personally follow the guy (as the only things I’ve heard about him have been uninteresting at best, and horrifying at worst [e.g. rat alarm clock] and have no interest in WoW.), so I was unaware. As a general statement regarding streamers though, what I’ve said is correct.
I’ve been playing a bunch of Rusted Moss lately. It’s a Twin Stick Shooter Metroidvania, which is appreciably different from the Hack and Slash type I normally play. Getting used to mouse-and-keyboarding a platform heavy game took a bit. And boy are there platforms....
If you haven’t already, Axiom Verge, both Blasphemous games and Cave Story are all consistently recommended (for good reason!), along with the two Ori games. If you get a bit further out from there you might try Psuedoregalia, Iconoclasts, Owlboy, The Messenger, Animal Well, Shantae and the Pirates Curse, and La Mulana.
Twofold: One, they lost a case in arbitration that basically said arbitration isn’t usable.
Two: Lot of companies do arbitration to avoid court, which works fine and is cheaper if you’re not getting taken to court much. If 75,000 people that could do a class action suit all go to arbitration though, the benefit is lost. Lawyers threatened that. 3 grand a arbitration case x 75,000 people == 225 million dollars on fees alone.
China supports in country stuff, most countries do really, so long as quality is comparable, and its been slowly but steadily getting there. Saw an article posted on lemmy somewhere earlier today how a locally made movie is topping their box office while Deadpool and Wolverine isn’t even top 10.
Arkane- I mean, yeah Redfall was a clunker but Dishonored, Deathloop, and Prey all did pretty well I thought… though I suppose the two Wolfenstein games they did were kinda trash so there is a bit of falloff between the “glory days” and now.
Tango- Hi-Fi Rush was a bop, and Ghostwire did well enough I thought. Not seeing a good reason here.
Alpha Dog - Mighty Doom? Okay thats a fair closure.

prioritizing high-impact titles and further investing in Bethesda’s portfolio of blockbuster games
Chasing blockbusters is gonna fuck them up but I suppose more room in the lower weight classes isn’t bad for gamers since it lets indies and others who aren’t the big boys shine, and lord knows thats been wild over the past year’ish.
It’s Nintendo. I’m not shocked it happened… just that it took this long. Its fairly common hear about some fangame or mod via gaming news, and then two weeks later see the headline, “Legend of Mariotroid has been DMCA’d”
I bought Wrestlequest and You Suck at Parking. The former you probably won’t vibe with if you aren’t a big pro wrestling and maybe RPG fan. The latter is fun but at ten bucks on sale still feels a smidge overpriced
Cleanup Detail is definitely more involved since you have to replace mop buckets, pick up giblets, incinerate those giblets, and mend bullet holes, while with Powerwash its point and shoot, sometimes with special cleaner to go faster on bits.
Then there’s Serial Cleaner and the aptly named sequel Serial Cleaners, which makes everything a bit more frenetic as it becomes a stealth action cleaning game.
If there was, then over the three years of development of Palworld, Nintendo would have lawyered up at some point. It’s a Japanese company, so it’d be a local lawsuit even. We already know Nintendo isn’t afraid of lawyering up, the Palworld Pokemon mod existed for like… 8 hours before getting DMCA’d the other day.

Picked Wandering Sword back up with the intent to finish. I guess I wasn’t as far in as I thought because I’m still at it, but I’m OP enough that speeding through should be viable soon.
The death of the third place has been happening in a thousand ways for a while now. Fewer and fewer places you can just be without paying to do so. Even now we see one of the last ones, libraries, targeted more and more by certain groups.
Still surprised Kingdom Hearts hasn’t made the leap over yet. Maybe Square is looking at piss poor Epic sales and thinking theres no market or something
Personally I find it hard to care as I won’t be playing the game for longer then a month anyhow. That said, real easy to wait for someone else to drop a dlss3 mod or just go without.
