@adamrice Oh there is no way I’m doing trainer in the summer… I ride at home only in winter and only when it’s unbearably wet. Cold doesn’t bother me, freezing rain does… As soon as it’s acceptable, I choose to ride outside… @cycling@rower
Co tam sobie ostatnio przesłuchałem? Wbrew pozorom słuchałem dosyć dużo płyt i większość mi nie siadła (jak np. polecane "pionerskie" albumy Celtic Frost oraz Bathory czy (zupełnie z innej paczki) Helroth). Więc lista polecajek będzie dzisiaj krótka.
Insomnium, płyta "Across the dark" - to nadal nie moje granie, ale muszę przyznać, że coś w sobie ma. Jest wolniejsze, ale nie za wolne, brutalne i czasem z chwytliwa melodią. Nawet nie przeskakiwałem w utworach, co zdarzało mi się w płytach, które wymieniłem we wstępie.
Wolfheart - mam wrażenie, że nierówny zespół, ale ten melodyjny death metal z Finlandii coś w sobie ma. Pare utworów zanotowałem, może dalej będę badał, ale bez specjalnej pasji, bo jednak za często próbują budować klimat wolnym graniem.
Totenmesse, "Fiktionlust" - a to dla odmiany nie tylko bardzo mi siadło, ale wręcz nie wiem, czy gdybym układał swoją topkę płyt z tego roku, to by się ten album tam nie znalazł. To dziwne, bo poprzednia płyta polskiego zespołu nie za bardzo mi się podobała, a tutaj wręcz wszystko pasuje. Jest mocno, jest szybko, jest "bogato". Polecam.
Yfel 1710, "Zlatują się Ćmy" - koledzy tutaj się trochę ostatnio śmiali i faktycznie, nie jest to zbyt wyszukany black metal. Jest wręcz do bólu standardowy, poza np. tytułowym utworem. Nie do końca podpasował mi wokal, ale są dobrzy w szybkich momentach, a w wolnych nawet umieją nieco zbudować klimat. Do zachwytu bardzo daleko, ale warto obserwować.
Mephorash, "Krystl-Ah" - nie spodobało mi się, ale nie mogę nie docenić klasztornego, a może nawet katakumbowego klimatu, jaki ta płyta wytwarza. Niby nie moje granie, ale ten album potrafi zaciekawić i to jego zaleta.
@ssamulczyk@cycling I start off with mesh vest, jersey, arm warmers and Primaloft jacket, then after 20 minutes I’m down to the vest. I mean, I’m wearing bibs too… 👀
@arratoon Sounds complicated but still quite acceptable… If I start in a jersey it’s soaking wet in 5 minutes… Everything has its pros and cons…🤷🏻♂️ I’d have to invest in a better fan… Wahoo Headwind looks nice but practicality calls for something more “multipurpose”…@cycling
@ssamulczyk I just did my first Zwift workout the other day swapping from a Tacx Neo to the Kickr Core and it is SO QUIET in comparison... I dunno how I put up with the whine before!
@refreshingapathy I only have comparison to rollers, which are just horrendous… Anything better than that gets to pass as acceptable!🫣 They have some pros, though. I’ve learned to ride with no hands on the bars (could do it outside, but it’s extra hard on rollers) and drink from a bottle during workout and my bike control went off the charts. I sometimes miss that!🙈

Ja się jaram od dłuższego czasu francuskim Mürrmürr i ich epką "Magdala". (Jezu, jak zajebiście francuski pasuje do wokali BM, aż szok!). Bardzo nastrojowe łojenie, a płyta spójna jak mało co.

Nee, mal im Ernst: Zu Autofahrys die mich auf den Rrrrraaadweg schicken wollen bin ich sicherlich unfreundlich. Aber wenn Fußgänger auf dem gemeinsamen Fuß/Radweg meinem Lastenbomber Platz machen bedanke ich mich lächelnd. Und wenn irgendwo jemand in der Wallachei am Rad wurschtelt biete ich Hilfe an.

@pete Yes. All those tempting toys that you think you’d use every day… Then it comes out it’s a hustle to take a drone with you and you end up playing with it more than riding…🤷🏻♂️

Kind of annoyed with White Industries at the moment. The original press-fit bearings in my Stanyan’s MI5 rear hub needed replacement a long while ago, so I had my local bike shop order them (which took forever to be shipped by Enduro) and swap them out. Unfortunately, the same amount of play persisted after the bearing swap despite said shop following White Industries’s directions to the T multiple times. My shop has called White Industries multiple times only to not be given any recourse.
I’ve been out that Stanyan for several weeks now and I don’t know if I should just get a different hub put in the wheel or something at this point. :blobfoxannoyed:
