I can’t believe we still haven’t had a Steamworld Dig 3. The first two are fantastic games. Not too hard, just fun. I was really excited to see the story didn’t end in number 2 and yet years later we still have no sign of a new game on the horizon. Maybe they also struggle with the number 3 of games like Valve does?
I’d argue they exclusively make absolutely great games! The dig ones are two of my favorite short jump n runs and Steamworld Heist is just such a fun, easy to learn tactical rpgish game with an appropriate amount of tactics and depth. I hope the developer doesn’t burn out on the Steamworld franchise and probably get to expand the scope of their games!
This trailer... was okay? I don't know why, but it kind of felt like a more modern version of Communist space propaganda. Very by the numbers, predictable, and a little corny. The game'll probably be alright (most likely just Fallout 4 with more sci fi + vehicles in Space with less trashy looking environments) but this trailer's not getting me very excited.
I'll probably wait a few months for the bugs and issues to get ironed out and give it a shot on Xbox Game Pass. Plus, the longer I wait, the more mods get made, and the mods are what really make Bethesda games good.
Frontiers was honestly the biggest disappointment I had with a 3D Sonic game since '06 (I thankfully didn’t play Rise of Lyric despite owning a Wii U.)
Making an open world zone Sonic game is all well and good, but the world just feels so lifeless. Not to mention that the mini-stages are literally regurgitated from other 3D Boost era Sonic games.
I liked this vid. This felt like they were doing a Nintendo Direct but with their shitposter styler of humor. It really feels like dunkey and Leah have found a good balance between coming off like a serious business, while still appealing to their existing community that follows Jason’s channel for his unique style of humor.
Ooooh I'm liking what I'm seeing. Look at the atmosphere, look at the hordes, look at the more frequent presence of groups of allies and larger scale encounters (the scarcity of which was one of my main complaints for the first game). Yes to everything.
