If I can be a little nitpicky here: In the beginning the dwarf said: “Ah, the Mines of Moria. I hope this will lead to Dwarrowdelf.” Now the Mines of Moria is just a nickname for Khazad Dum. Which translates to Dwarrowdelf.
So basically he just said: “Ah, Dwarrowdelf. I hope this will lead to Dwarrowdelf.”
(Alright fine, they probably refer to the actual mines of Khazad Dum. And with “Dwarrowdelf” possibly just the Pillar-hall. But that’s still wrong so I win.)
Jesus, this thing looks like a switch game yet still struggles with getting an acceptable framerate. And the animations... Do the devs know we're well past 6th gen?
Really excited for this! Never played the first one, but was a huge fan of Vermintide. Darktide felt like it kinda dropped the ball, so hoping this scratches a similar itch.
I guess this isn’t a bad setting for a survival game. Didn’t see anything that made this look especially interesting aside from the setting. I hope it’s good
All I remember about this game is the Empire bases had a bunch of gaps you had to jump, and I was thinking “How are Stormtroopers navigating this on a daily basis?”
I might be in the minority here, but I couldn’t help but think Half-Life 2 still looks really good for a game released in 2004. Obviously “RTX on” is nicer to look at, but all the small details like the magnifying glass that actually magnifies made me appreciate the old assets/graphics so much, what a milestone it was.
I can’t believe we still haven’t had a Steamworld Dig 3. The first two are fantastic games. Not too hard, just fun. I was really excited to see the story didn’t end in number 2 and yet years later we still have no sign of a new game on the horizon. Maybe they also struggle with the number 3 of games like Valve does?
I’d argue they exclusively make absolutely great games! The dig ones are two of my favorite short jump n runs and Steamworld Heist is just such a fun, easy to learn tactical rpgish game with an appropriate amount of tactics and depth. I hope the developer doesn’t burn out on the Steamworld franchise and probably get to expand the scope of their games!
