You know what would be cool? If all those (job name) simulator games could all be joined. angielski

So I’m playing Supermarket simulator. And if you notice TCG Simulator looks VERY similar. That’s because it uses the same assets. It looks like it’s actually the same shop location, on the same street. But in one game, it’s a supermarket, and in another game, it’s a card game similator....

SkyezOpen,

I hate when my card shop gets nuked.

SkyezOpen,

FF really getting the mileage out of yoshis, huh?

SkyezOpen,

They’re harpooning whales left and right, this isn’t some irrational difference of opinion.

SkyezOpen,

they don’t have to act like EA and Ubisoft to make a AAA game.

EA and ubisoft are shitting and pissing their pants with rage and jealousy because their own user base isn’t gullible enough to do that to.

SkyezOpen,

People buying now more or less understand, but the cope early on in development was incredible, not to mention all the outright lies from the devs about SC and SQ42 dates.

“Almost finished” means “10 more years of polish.” Who knew?

SkyezOpen,

I don’t criticize people that genuinely enjoy the game tech demo. I’m criticizing CIG. You’re the one taking that personally.

SkyezOpen,

Let the user choose. Arbitration is great for small things, not huge damages. Court is better for that.

SkyezOpen,

Wow is on steam?

SkyezOpen,

It’s not gatekeeping, they were trying to save you. I still play from time to time and it’s… Not awful. But for a new player? I can’t even imagine. I’ve introduced 2 people to it and it’s several hours of explaining shit that bungo can’t be bothered to do. Then to kit yourself out to do anything other than basic strikes, it takes a shitload of grinding.

SkyezOpen,

Doesn’t matter if it’s “dead” or not, it’s not really meant to be a massively multiplayer game.

SkyezOpen,

Sucks for the devs, but it warms my heart to see Sony take a spiked dildo in the ass.

Is Elder Scrolls 6 doomed to fail? I can't see how it will work angielski

After the massive blunder of Starfield, I cannot see how Elder scrolls 6 could possibly be successful. Everything points to the fact that they knew that the game was not even half finished, in my opinion, with major glaring issues, and they decided to just send it off anyway. The difference between this game and Oblivion is that...

SkyezOpen,

I put about 100 hours into starfield and a lot of that wad enjoyable. However, outside of the main story lines, the game really is dogshit. Ship building is frustrating, unlocking stuff is a grind, finding materials is insanely not worth it and I just buy up whatever is in the shop, space flight is AWFUL, outpost building is useless. I had my fun but I will likely never touch it again.

The lockpicking system was a truly shining gem though. Best system in any game I’ve played ever.

SkyezOpen,

“Turn destiny into call of duty”

Brilliant.

Valve lifts NDA on Deadlock, streaming and talking about the game is now allowed. angielski

Not sure where the official announcement of this happened, but videos and discussions of the game are now finally allowed. The game is still invite-only, but expect to start seeing it all over the place now. Popular streamers are already jumping into it....

SkyezOpen,

He hit esc to avoid clicking accept on the nda bit, then bragged about it in the article. There have been other articles about the game, but afaik he’s the only one that was banned for being a smartass.

SkyezOpen,

The story was actually pretty interesting. The mechanics are… Decent. The game outside of the main quests? Don’t even bother.

Oh and fuck settlements and shitty load screen space travel. I loaded up elite dangerous just to feel like I was actually in space for a minute.

SkyezOpen,

Morrowind is hands down the best elder scrolls. If you want a TRUE sandbox where you can do whatever the hell you want, that’s your game. Some issues include graphics, no quest markers (you have to read the quests and follow directions), the leveling system is not intuitive at all, and combat is heavily stats based.

Upsides are you can craft any spell or enchanted item using any spell effects you know. Ring of permanent invisibility. Spell of lock every door within 50 feet. Summon 3 different daedra at once. Conjure a whole set of bound armor. Explode yourself in fire. Literally anything.

The elder scrolls renewal project is working on recreating morrowind with skyrims engine and I really hope it comes out soon.

SkyezOpen,

The mid-late seasons of rvb were pretty good. Story got fucking convoluted at the end because they had to turn the silly jokes of the early seasons into honest plot points, but overall an amazing series.

Do you know any singleplayer games that are infinitely replayable? angielski

I recently booted up Half-Life 2 to replay it. I have played the absolute shit out of this game before, so 60% of it just feels like a drag to me now. It was such an amazing game but it’s sort of spoiled for me after I’ve played it too much....

SkyezOpen,

If you don’t mind top down colony managers, rimworld is an absolute gem. The base game itself is infinitely replayable because every game is basically a story. Think dwarf fortress with graphics (well, df has graphics now but). Also incredibly easy to mod to customize or completely change your game experience.

SkyezOpen,

The persona is barely fake, which is why he always rubbed me the wrong way. Like yeah a hyper macho gamer can be a funny ironic persona, but when you’re legitimately Gamer Raging TM on stream, you’re just doing the thing. Not surprised he turned out to be a piece of shit a while ago. Mildly surprised he was a pedo, though I didn’t notice his right-wing tendencies so that’s on me.

SkyezOpen,

Friend plays and loves it, but says wait a few months to buy. From what I’ve seen it’s a very strong looking beta, but lots of issues still need ironed out before it’s meaningfully playable. I was sold as soon as I heard there was a pve mode because open world constant potential pvp is too much stress, but still giving it a bit before I actually pick it up.

SkyezOpen,

It was still a glitch fest, but at least the world was top notch.

SkyezOpen,

In morrowind?

SkyezOpen,

Had a drunken discussion about this last month. Basically there’s less than 10 decent game adaptations ever. I remember the first mortal kombat, first 2 resident evils, tomb raider… A few others. But yeah.

SkyezOpen,

The drama with helldivers was because fascists saw the over the top campy depiction of fascism and unironically agreed with it. They had no idea they were the ones being lampooned. You should look at the reactions when they found out the devs were actually not fascists. They were distraught.

SkyezOpen,

youtu.be/mj19jSHxtoA

Specifically starship troopers, but you know what kickstarted that discussion again. Also a bunch of Twitter discourse. Reddit is generally left adjacent. You won’t find too much fash shit there.

If you've done the Final Fantasy marathon did you include FF XI? Was it worth it? angielski

I’ve been playing through all the numbered games and its been great. I could write an essay or two on any of them. In general I’m only including base games and no expansions or DLC so it wouldn’t be a huge undertaking to beat 11, but I’m trying to see if it’s worth it from others who have done the marathon....

SkyezOpen,

I genuinely thought they killed it off. Wow.

But no, I wouldn’t include any MMO in a game marathon. XIV has a “story” but compared to a legit single player rpg, yeah no way.

SkyezOpen,

The story being told is good but the gameplay is eeeurgh. Endless boring ass fetch quests punctuated by pretty cool dungeons.

Granted that’s just the early msq. I enjoy the game and have several 90 combat classes, but it really was a slog to start.

SkyezOpen,

True, though the further you get, the more things you unlock and can do to distract you from how boring the endless fetch quests are.

I spent an entire weekend farming and crafting to furnish my apartment.

SkyezOpen,

Holy shit thank you. I spent so much time setting up a windows 9…5 or 98 vm just to play streets and copter again but it just crashed.

Iamtheceoofmcdonnelldouglas

SkyezOpen,

Well, it’s valve, so honestly the odds of it being genre-defining in an already established genre? Pretty high, actually. Seriously, when is the last time valve put out a shit game?

Here’s hoping it helps OW2 finally die.

SkyezOpen,

Artifact

… OK name two!

/s

I honestly forgot about that piece of crap lol.

SkyezOpen,

Funny how forgetting a ladder on the capsule undoes hours of work. Poor Jeb.

SkyezOpen,

Razer hardware is generally solid. Their software is absolute dogshit and they’ll never have a dollar from me again because of it.

SkyezOpen,

Big changes like not ruining their game franchises?

No? Oh well.

SkyezOpen,

If they somehow shove mtx into valheim I’m gonna riot.

SkyezOpen, (edited )

Basically saying it’s so undercooked it’s almost still alive.

original reference that got memed to hell.

SkyezOpen,

Also maybe this one. youtu.be/N0v3BhJiNNQ. There’s a lot.

SkyezOpen,

Are you kidding? Slowly unloading your ship 200 pounds at a time and waiting for it to hopefully actually transfer to the pods is so fun. Not to mention they have absolutely no storage so you need a wall of them that you must then manually search to find anything. The best is when your cargo ship doesn’t fit on the landing pad so you have to carry it all yourself. Or you could build a convoluted network of shipping docks and either manually fuel them or create another convoluted network of shipping docks just to ship helium 3 to all the other shipping docks. Fuck I love loading screens.

Rage aside, the game itself was pretty fun for a run or two, but after that the shallowness really showed. Outposts suck ass though. I made shitty ones and figured I’d hit ng+ before actually caring about them, but I couldn’t make myself care. Benches go outside, I don’t give a shit.

God I’m just remembering how bad it is now. If the terrain isn’t perfectly level go fuck yourself, you can’t expand your hab. I build a fucking boardwalk with multiple levels and shopfronts in FO4, I had nearly full map coverage for artillery, I could attract settlers to live there and defend it. Now I just drop an extractor and power and fuck off.

SkyezOpen,

I had a barrel outside caius’ house that I dumped all my extra stuff into. One barrel held everything. My current storage outpost has… At least 10 resource storage crates? And that’s still not enough. Plus actually hauling all that shit from mining outposts.

SkyezOpen,

Replying to myself because I just can’t get over how shitty storage is. I can carry my armor, pack, like 8 guns, and way too many consumables, then stack another 130 or so on top of that. The giant ass storage crates as tall as me? 100, take it or leave it.

SkyezOpen,

I did have a pretty bonkers warlock build that had a bunch of mods or gear that gave me rift regen, plus the boots that shoot orbs as people while I stand in a rift. I basically just used rift on cooldown and could have as many as 5 at once and spam healed the team. Also used rose to heal as well. Obviously not optimal, but I wasn’t about to spend the time collecting the obscure mods and stats that the spreadsheet wizards said I should have, only for the meta to change completely next season.
