Goronmon, do games w Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.1 Announced for Next Week

I bought the base game on sale but only spent a few minutes with it. Still haven’t decided if I want to play with or without the expansion at this point. But all these update are making me want to keep waiting for the “final” final patch, haha.

qooqie,

Without the expansion I did about 3 playthroughs because of the different specs you can do. There’s a lot of content and replayability imo. I haven’t bought the expansion yet because holiday spending and shit but when I do it’ll be another few playthroughs

Goronmon,

I want to say I would replay the game, but I struggle with that even with games I enjoy. I’ve made a few attempts to replay Witcher 3 and haven’t been successful. I still haven’t finished Act 3 in my main playthrough of Baldur’s Gate 3 either after getting distracted by Starfield.

So, I’m working under the assumption that I’ve only going to be making one solid attempt at playing through the game.

Death_Equity,

I bought it when it came out and played it for like 20 hours, after that I decided I wasn’t enjoying the game and shelved it. Picked it back up after 2.0 and have enjoyed it much more.

Wait for the final patch, but 2.0 is a much better game.

RampantParanoia2365,

There’s so many playstyle builds, though. I’m looking forward to my next playthrough as a gun slinger.

  • Ashtear,

Damn Wyvern Toxin was making noise anyway, so I stopped doing it 😂

    Blackmist,

At one point something started making a sound like a passing train in our playthrough, which somehow got louder during conversations.

Had to reboot the console to get rid of it. Still have no idea what it was. Just Act III things I guess.

Kbin_space_program, (edited ) do games w Bethesda Is Responding to Negative Reviews of Starfield on Steam

Amusing that the article gets the response of the first review wrong.

The negative review doesn't only mention that the empty planets are boring, but that the populated ones are the same locations over and over again.

I agree with the stuff the article says, from my knowledge. I quit when they sunset some of the expansions and planets, and even then the whole difficult to catch up meta was a thing, and the incredible levels of monetization were everywhere.

It's still the best feeling shooter I've ever played, but even that wasn't enough for me to wade through everything else. I couldn't just play and enjoy the game without being ripped out of my immersion by content I hadn't bought begging for it and FOMO based design decisions that kept me uncomfortable and rushing.

The sunsetting of some of the content pissed me the hell off. I bought Forsaken, and took a break before finishing it, so I paid for content that I won't be able to play. On top of that, the FOMO and pressure to buy the battle passes to play the new content just put me off.

The rumour I’ve heard is that they got a massive grant to develop this game from an Asian government (thinking Singapore but not sure) and if they scrap it, they have to pay it all back possibly with fines, so they’re desperately trying to avoid cancelling it. No idea if this is true though.

    MeekerThanBeaker,

“You’ve clearly never been to Singapore.”

I wonder if they would have saved a ton of money getting it closer to this product prior to release, or if it would have taken the same amount of time and money regardless and just maybe saved their reputation a bit?

Nice. I didn’t make a Steam account until it supported Linux back in 2013 or so. So I guess I’ll be celebrating 10 years on Steam soon.

Incredibly, some of Steam’s early adopter accounts are still actively in use today, a full two decades after their creation.

    dolle,

I finally managed to find my account age. 19 years and one month! Time flies.

I had a long hiatus, but I still play FPS games regularly. And I can still join a random HL2 deathmatch and pwn :).
