Oh hey, nice to find you on a different corner of Lemmy! Thanks for the in-depth review, we need more OC on Lemmy like this. I’ll probably check it out because of you.
Might want to crosspost to !puzzlegames and the much more active !adventuregames which has also decided to include puzzle games, despite its name.
Could be wrong but this does not sound sound outlandish for a alpha. There should be no point to ruin a name/brand before it is out. You should not leave a “review” of a unfinished product.
If the product is unfinished, why is it being released to the public, in any capacity?
If they want to playtest and find bugs in their unfinished product, they should do that. By paying a QA team and playtesters, not by trying to dupe streamers into generating free advertisement.
You have never played an early alpha of a game and signed a NDA to not disclose it I did this with many games the finals, th division heatland, x defient, arc raiders etc. although in this case since there are yt videos and streams seems a little weird. I was uneducated the games I am talking about when I played had watermarks on them and were made for testing etc had no idea the game was like viewable. In this case it looks more like if tarkov or an EA game said you can’t leave reviews.
To clarify yes I fully agree that not ok and didn’t know the full facts.
Hmm… A perfectly neutral review with a share of the wording from the contract is nothing but factual, and I believe could be argued to be non disparaging?
No, disparaging is disparaging, even if it’s warranted. But, if I were a small streamer who got a key, I would just repeat the non-disparagement clause any time I saw something obviously broken.
They can stop me saying anything negative but that doesn’t cover body language (they might try to sue but they wouldn’t ever be able to prove it to the degree required unless I had posted something like this explanation, and even then it’s dicey), and I don’t see anything in there about a minimum number of positive sentences of words to hit. God help these chucklefucks if they ever run into a Djinni or a cursed monkey’s paw.
I mean this game is set in and made by people in Japan, gun culture is very different there. “Impressionable youths” wouldn’t even have access to a gun.
Also, the visual of teens shooting themselves in the head is very much a thematic point, as Japan’s teen suicide rate is very much a systemic issue they were (and are still) grappling with when the story was written.
How would that work? Considering I mean that past studies have always shown that this doesn’t work like that for kids learning things from fictional works.
(nevermind that there’s no way they’d have a gun except in some really ass backwards countries without any gun laws)
I guess that depends on what you mean by fixed. Like No Man’s Sky added shit tons of content. Whereas cyberpunk just kind of stabilised the games performance and made minimal changes to the actual gameplay and content.
For the games you can play on ps5 to get an equivalent PC costs way more. And if you’re someone who prefers single player games, Sony has the most timed exclusives if you want them sooner. Also having a UHD Blu-ray player is great too for those with atmos sound systems.
With the prices of PC parts these days, you’re not wrong. However, my nearly decade old machine that was only around $600 to build at the time is still working strong with modern games. I just don’t have RTX or DLSS because my GPU was made before those existed; and I don’t even use them on my PS5 because I prefer 60+ FPS to graphical fidelity I can’t even see the difference in.
and I don’t even use them on my PS5 because I prefer 60+ FPS to graphical fidelity I can’t even see the difference in.
So the idea of the PS5 Pro is basically to play with the same graphic quality as graphic mode, but with the performance of performance mode.
If you’re saying you don’t even need graphic mode on your PS5, then obviously you don’t need a PS5 Pro. But there are people who want both 4K and 60 FPS. They’re not that many, but they’re vocal, and that’s what the PS5 Pro is trying to sell.
“I don’t even have a bike, so what’s the point of all those bike helmet sales?”
