Timecircleline,

The one thing I had to look forward too. Dang.

Timecircleline,

Funny enough, I just finished playing through Paper Mario 64, and you’ve basically described Peach’s chapters. She’s able to pass on messages by way of using another character as a messenger.

The way the game is structured is there’s a mini Peach chapter in between each main chapter, but I think it would have been intriguing if you never actually got to see Mario’s side of the story and only heard about his adventures from the guards, diary entries, etc. Cool idea for a puzzle game!

Timecircleline,

Can I recommend chiakideck? Playing PS5 games in bed using the steam deck is awesome, if there are any games that you have on console that you don’t want to repurchase

Timecircleline,

Thank you! I have binding of Isaac wishlisted. I watched some gameplay of Risk of Rain and it didn’t grab me. I’ll check out the other recs.

Timecircleline,

I’ve beat all the levels of vampire survivors too! I forgot- I was OBSESSED when it first came out

Timecircleline,

I sunk 25 hours into Balatro the first weekend I had it on PC. Also bought the mobile version when it came out, and have put an embarrassing amount of time into it.

Timecircleline,

I was never able to get into Dwarf Fortress, but that’s awesome that there’s a rogue like mode coming out!

I actually own Returnal on PS5 but never gave it much of a thought. It sounds like it’s worth trying though!

Timecircleline,

Thank you for the in-depth explanation! I’ve wishlisted it and will pick it up when it goes on sale. The art is absolutely beautiful, I can see how it could get haunting and lonely.

Timecircleline,

They annoyingly have some proprietary licensing. Cozy Grove 2 was Netflix only. I only have it because my spouse’s comfort show is on Netflix, otherwise it’s going to be gone

Timecircleline,

Wasteland 3 is one of the games that I wish I could play again for the first time. Not new, but I can’t recommend it enough.

Timecircleline,

Wishlisted! Just an FYI the thumbnail has a typo (along with the end of the trailer)- it shows the “18ht” attic

Timecircleline,

Wishlisted and following with great interest.

UPDATE: Here is the final design of the Humorless Toaster, that this wonderful community helped me pick yesterday! (Needless to say one of the previous versions was unintentionally problematic) (lemmy.world) angielski

Thank you all for contributing, here is a link to the original post: https://lemmy.world/post/19721257...

Timecircleline,

Have you tried a design where it has a mustache for a mouth? As another lemming described, wider and wavy at the bottom. And then it can move up and down when it talks?

Edit: quick and dirty mockup. This would be my vote https://sh.itjust.works/pictrs/image/d76f6d18-5f5d-4f71-a0e9-47e98999f07b.png

Timecircleline,

Slay the Spire spawned a ton of deck builder roguelites.

Timecircleline,

My jam was some Zelda, sour cream and onion chips, and a 2 l bottle of either diet coke or cream soda. This photo filled me with so much nostalgia.

Timecircleline,

There’s precedent though. Alcohol and tobacco have significant restrictions on marketing material. I would argue that firearms should fall into the same category.

My impression was the same- eye roll at the “videogames cause violence” argument that’s been beaten to death, but I actually think they may have a point when it comes to marketing.

Sadly, I also think that COD is a military recruitment strategy (Boy Boy did a video breaking down the way the American recruiters use COD to capture a certain demographic) so I don’t think this lawsuit will go anywhere. Thought-provoking though.

Timecircleline,

Hmm… A perfectly neutral review with a share of the wording from the contract is nothing but factual, and I believe could be argued to be non disparaging?

Timecircleline,

I’m sorry to hear that your mental health is shaky at the moment. I hope things get better for you soon, friend.

Timecircleline,

I find that I can connect with characters more in a video game than a movie. It’s interaction on a different level.

I agree that some games want you to overlook poor game play for their story, but many people enjoy games with stories so I don’t see that going away any time soon.

Timecircleline,

I think its also a way for the current studio to say that it doesn’t necessarily support or agree with the “outdated content” without removing it which would make fans angry.
