I’m about 6 hours in, and I’m loving it so far. The combat is very unique and feels great. The way the levels wrap around vertically often reminds me of Dark Souls. You can see some vestiges of the previous designs the game went through before it landed on this one, but what they’ve got is very good.
I cannot for the life of me get to a stable 60 fps on half decend settings, I cancelled my preorder and I‘m waiting for the DF review… I might as well grab it on a discount in the future when I have future hardware… The game itself was fantastic, it just ran like ass.
I think i’ve played most arkane game up till prey, i heard deathloop is their last good game but it’s also a hit and miss. Prey is super good as well, i think i did like 3 or 4 playthrough, still haven’t play mooncrash though but it’s definitely on my list.
I really want to check that out, but it is incompatible with my favorite mod: Save Our Ship 2. I refuse to give up SOS2 just to play with another human.
Its pretty smooth but I’ve had a lot of desync issues because I have a long list of mods I try to play with.
They do PvP on the mod. Its pretty cool you have 4 teams and each player controls 1 pawn and the fight for objectives and capture and craft their way to victory.
I’m going to have to go with either the Create mod or Apotheosis, both for Minecraft. Both of them feel like they could just be part of the vanilla game, and at this point it feels wrong and weird for me to play the game without them installed.
It’s really hard for me to name a single favorite Metroid; I love most of them. In terms of non-linear open exploration, Super Metroid is probably my favorite, followed by AM2R. But I also really enjoyed the boss fights in Metroid Dread; they were really challenging…for me at least.
I think it’s really impressive what the community has done with Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Project+ is basically the current “flagship” modpack. It builds on Legacy TE (which is built off Project M), so there’s loads of new content and more Melee-like gameplay.
Another Brawl mod I like is Brawl -. Its main thing is that it balances the game by making everyone’s movesets overpowered.
Changing genre completely, I really like the Gay Awakening and Gay Fates mods for Fire Emblem: Awakening and Fire Emblem: Fates. The main thing the mods do is add new romantic and platonic supports to the game. The focus is, as the name implies, on adding gay and lesbian content, but it also adds straight content to a lesser degree (like for the characters that can only support with Robin or Corrin).
I undervolted my 5800x3d (each core individually) and it cut the temps by quite a bit, without affecting performance. Actually if anything you could say the performance arguably increased because it was no longer the hot little hog it was ootb.
I followed a random guide I found on the internet for amd.
In amd case you can do it from their driver by going to performance tab and choosing tuning.
There you will find gpu setting, set them to manual and from there you can start changing fan speed and voltage. Voltage you change by 50mv first time and if stable by 25. When you come to a point where your game/program crashes you use the value from before that didn’t crash the game and that’s it.
As for nvidia I don’t know because I don’t own one and don’t have the money to own one ( they are 1k euro on average here for 4070 and 2.5k for 4090 on average ) only thing I know is that you will need msi afterburner.
I do it with MSI Afterburner, then do stress tests in 3D Mark to make sure it’s stable. As long as you’re not over-volting you’re fairly safe to experiment. You can either do a flat undevolt, or you can set up a custom curve. Also like another commenter here said, changing the fan curve to actually engage the fans sooner helps keep the temps down, usually the default fan curve prioritizes silence to a disturbing degree.
