She only did that on second phase with Father Ariandel, but yes, guessing whether there’s another phase while your estus is empty is certainly more bullshit than healing 🤣
This is a marketing piece for Borderlands 4, consist of randy reading script.
For the topic they can find different dev from indie to AAA or ex-AAA dev that currently work in different studio or Rockstars talking about making sure the horse testicle shrink while cold, but no it’s about randy reading script. Where’s the essence? Where’s the juice?
It honestly bugged me that people think there’s like a ceiling price for 2d even though it require artist to animate frame by frame, but 3d it’s unlimited even though you could tweak everything far more easily.
first you say that the price doesn’t depend on the production expenses and can be as big as the seller wants
Huh? When did i even claim that?
Edit: also even if i said that, which i didn’t, let’s not pretend selling a 2d metroidvania at $30 or even $40 is as same as AAA studio justifying selling their game at $80. It’s like a different issue altogether because one is actively firing people and exploit cheap worker and giving their CEO a fat bonus while claiming inflation, the other is people pretend a dimension of their artwork is the limiting factor.
Yeah, It really depend on how detail you want it to be, both is hard, but somehow people will pay one more than the other.
So the smart thing to do here is have a 2d metroidvania with 3d artstyle, and suddenly the price ceiling is removed lol (bloodstained is $40 on release)
It also doesn’t click for me at first but when it click it click. I have to spend i think about 1 or 2 hours playing it not enjoying it, and then the game just suck me in till i wander every corner of it, played it twice to get a good ending.
But if it doesn’t click, i think it just isn’t for you.
Ya, that’s where they crash their own server, people able to get the game but can never log in or find a match or something due to their own unprepareness. This one crash all the major storefront.
Humble changed their pricing model this year, so it’s my last year subscribing, so I want to use a little more discretion and skip some months because they do have “tent poles” that interest me sometimes. This month the tent pole is Persona 5, which I hear is good, but I still have Persona 4 on my backlog and it doesn’t...
“And at least part of that plan involves AI”, reads the subtitle. To be clear, not an endorsement from me. Some of this reads very strangely to me, but this is boots on the ground reporting from Gamescom of developer sentiment....
Nah dude, today we have Death of the Outsider, and Blood Dragon, both doesn’t need the base game to run and is standalone, even though they use the same asset and engine from their base game. Not to mention ODST and Reach, both come out within 3 years of Halo 3. All phenomenal, even though they’re using same engine, same asset, with some additional content and new map. The scope is also significantly smaller than the base game. They’re all standalone even though they’re DLC.
Also Tear of the Kingdom use the same map and asset, and it’s considered sequel instead of DLC. same thing goes for Majora’s Mask which they did within a year after Ocarina of Time. It’s totally fine to do that as long as the game is good.
The sudden flood of roguelike is what really killed the reputation of procgen. In the early days, it’s seen as something fresh because every playthrough is different and you have to adapt to situation. Games like binding of issac(the first release) and spelunky(the free one) pushed the boundary on how level design can be assigned randomly and still be good, then more and more game started to capitalise on this sort of design but conveniently forgot they still have to be designed to be good. To a lot of people(including me) , the fatigue set in and the mere mention of procgen is revolting, even though they might also enjoy game like dead cell or hades. Then comes the AI and people are simply too weary on all these stuff.
I’m not saying this is what prompted them to include that tagline in their marketing, but i’m not surprised if it is.
Am still playing They Are Billions, i think i still have a long way to go with the campaign, only about 15% in? Sometime the campaign take a looooooong time to complete because i have to wait till all the wave is completed, which take about 1 or 2 hours? Those kind of mission is sure a drag. It’s very enjoyable nonetheless. It makes me miss Warcraft rts so much.

Halo 4, kinda suck tbh. This is coming from someone who play the MMC so i basically marathon it and is able to compare it back to back, and it peaked at Reach. The gun play is wonky and no dual wield, Covenant somehow become the bad guy again after the event in 3, and none of the one that help human defeat Gravemind came back as an ally.
But it doesn’t ruin the franchise for me though, to me canonically there’s only 5 Halo game. The rest is fan fic.

Honestly i’m holding back my excitement, considering it’s Gravity. Even if it’s a very low hanging fruit, i wouldn’t put it past them to not mess it up.
Sony Interactive Entertainment has filed a lawsuit against Tencent over its upcoming game Light of Motiram, with Sony saying it is a "slavish clone" of the Horizon series.
In their suit, the founders said that Krafton was aware of their new roles and that Cleveland had spent a large amount of time working on a Subnautica film, which Krafton had asked the studio to develop.
The moment they put someone who oversee the development of Calisto Protocol as CEO, it already smell like a seamoth full of dead peeper. Now this one? This one takes the cake.
Yeah in the world where EA exist and Xbox close down a studio that just launched a successful game and also fire bunch of people and shutting down lot of project, this doesn’t sound far fetch at all.
I guess the lesson the first game trying to teach is to never believe any giant corporation.
