October is over, and that means I’m back to playing all variety of games, not just horror or Halloween-themed games. But I did miss one day in my daily October marathon, and I said I’d try to make up for it....
It really depends on the game, you can’t put all games under an umbrella and say it’s all bad. I love the ones in Starfield, warframe, No Man’s Sky, Assassin Creed Origins and Odyssey and many more. As long as it has actual uses more than just highlighting stuff and/or is well designed it’s always welcome IMO. Haven’t played DL2 yet but I really can’t think of any game where it felt like a cop out for otherwise bad design.
What the hell, I don’t recognise this game at all. Neither this image, the name nor any other image or the trailer on Steam, but apparently I own the game on there… I’ve never been so confused about and at a complete loss of memory of something I have purchased.
I’m absolutely loving it, it’s unbelievably gorgeous and the gameplay is fun.
My only real complaint is that I’m the story is too short, I was so surprised when the “this is the end mission, you’ll be locked out of the rest of the game until this is finished” warning popped up, I thought I was only halfway there. So I’ve put that on hold and I’m now fully exploring everything else. I really hope they make several big expansion for it, with new planets etc.
There is definitely pestering, doesn’t matter what they say or do. People will always pester so all we can do is hope it doesn’t get to them, which we’ve seen happen many times to others. But I don’t think there’s a reason to worry here, they know what they’re doing.
I don’t understand your view here. It’s not there to be impressive, it’s there to be up to date. If an old game is re-released with better controls, for example, it’s not “to be impressive”, it’s to make the experience better.
I’m not really the target audience and I’ve come across it what must be hundreds of times. It has been talked about a lot on anything gaming. Most of the big gaming journalism (good and bad) websites, youtube channels etc have made articles and videos about it.
No one is playing it because it’s very “meh”, but it has absolutely been widely advertised and also talked about a lot (for being not so good).
I really doubt any of you who replied here saying you haven’t heard about it ever interact with gaming journalism and community. It has been just as visible as most other AAA games.
I’ve been recently been thinking about Arkane Studio’s Prey which is a immersive sim, with a pretty good rogue like dlc, that probably has one of the strongest hooks of any game I’ve played. If you liked Halflife, System Shock, or Deus Ex it’s definitely worth a play....
“A Robot Named Fight is a Metroidvania roguelike focused on exploration and item collection. Explore a different, procedurally-generated labyrinth each time you play and discover randomized power-ups to traverse obstacles, find secrets and explode meat beasts.”
It’s such a good game, almost everything is perfect IMO, I have over 200 hours in it and still go back to it every now and then. The lone developer also made the source code public a while ago, so there are mods, forks, spinoffs etc. being worked on.
