Cannot wait to buy another Ubislop-like that costs $80, takes 70+ hours to complete the mainstory and plays exactly the same as the last 20 iterations over the past decade
I cannot wait for all the AAA developers to whine, cry, and complain about how everyone is saying Silksong is so good and that AAA can’t compete with their own games.
Binged the game in a month about two years ago, I did everything, including the flyiig bean and the triple bird, great game, unique experience, I love it and I fucking hate it at the same time lol
The game is ruthless and not for the faint of heart, I think you may need to be a certain degree of masochist or something to do everything in it, I also remember needing the performance mod for the later stages of the game.
I’ve been waiting a few years to forget more about it so I can replay it again as blind as possible.
Omg I got WN in one of my first runs(at like day 13) and I KNEW who he was but chose him for the shiggles anyways…😭😭 how anyone could WILLINGLY choose him is beyond my comprehension
Binging it in a month is insane tho!! How do u even find the time for that O_O goodluck with trying to forget everything, the PTSD of queenie’s meltdown causing her to breach shall always stay deep within your heart 💔
I've heard of it vaguely just because I played a bit of limbus company (and liked the characters more than the gameplay tbh). How's lobotomy compared to limbus? Is the gameplay similar at all?
Yeah lcb’s gameplay isn’t the best… the story is it’s charm
As for l corp’s gameplay, it is VERY different. It’s a rogue-like management simulator that expects you to reset and rewind your progress throughout the game in order to complete it… you have to manage the abnormalities you pick, and they each have their own requirements for keeping them content (some more complicated than others. The higher the tier, the more complicated the abnormalities usually get, although that ain’t always rhe case). You can look up gameplay compilations on YouTube;; each run is always different lol
The story, similar to lcb’s, is great too and very character-driven… to the point where it directly affects your gameplay (and graphics in some instances).
Great game and great universe and story that expands itself into Library of Ruina and Limbus Company.
I also loved designing my employees for each department, like having the disciplinary department full of red haired people that are very edgy or battle ready as it fits the theme of disciplinary people that lived through plenty of battles, or Extraction team with only one captain, and all the rest are sacrificial fodders used to manage some ALEPH.
I did cheat towards the end as it was getting very hard, but, very fun story and experience and going to Ruina afterwards and seeing all my employees take the stage once again alongside their managers was great.
Yeahh, customising the employees is quite fun (and so is sifting through a bunch of randomly-generated ones until u find some1 that looks good to save the extra lob point, lol)
I’m actuslly surprised ppl can finish the entire game without cheating… some of those suppressions are NOT it. On a side note, I am quite excited to try out lor , I want bongbong by my side. Forever.
For a long time I’m running goodie-two-shoes settlements and I love it. They’re not woe of non-violence people, they will shoot you if you come with raid, but then they will patch you up and release you back with gifts. They make artisinal food, drinks, and drugs and then sell and gift them to everyone, and they never ever commit any warcrimes. It makes me feel nice inside, knowing that my guys are making life on a rim slightly better.
It’s unclear if you’re imagining that power is provided along the line or if these will need to be self-powered.
If you’re looking in New England specifically then the rolling stock of MTA Metro North or CT Rail might be of interest. Assuming the protagonists will have access to a power source. I think Hartford Line CT Rail uses both third rail and overhead power, so that might make for a point of discussion about them seeking out these specific units for their more flexible powering options and voltages.
I’ll take a look at those! I was imagining overhead wires but perhaps only in/near towns as resources are constrained (with the self propelled railcar using batteries when disconnected) but they’re building towards a full line eventually. Not sure how realistic that is
I would imagine the little maintenance cars would thrive in that environment. thevintagenews.com/…/speeder-motorized-vehicle-fo… I don’t know the world background, but if it’s rebuilding after some catastrophic event, the might be some car modifications to make them rail ready, stealing the wheels off of larger defunct trains.
Nah, I appreciated that. It’s a first look at what’s going on. It not being polished makes me trust them way more as a developer than if everything looked absolutely perfect. I’m EXTREMELY hyped
That’s my logic behind it anyway. If I see something that is supposed to be a first look but it’s HYPER polished I get really wary. Makes me think that this one section of the game was hella focused on enough for the representation but I start wondering about whether the rest of the game got the same attention. If a game demo actually has errors and bugs and fuck ups then it shows to me that they’re working on it across the board. They’re not heavily focusing on this specific demo or anything and willing to show the faults that you should see looking at a first look. I guess it just boils down to honesty for me. If the demo is hyper polished then it feels dishonest. If it’s rough around the edges then it feels more real and genuine.
Besides, these are the same people who made the Hitman series for decades and the WOA trilogy which is a powerhouse of gaming for me. Taking on my #2 hyperfixation, right behind Star Trek? They’re probably the only dev that I instantly trusted to do a good job or at least try their best.
Probably just dumb kids who don’t understand how to play but heard friends in school talk about it. Or people like me who are caught up in life and even though I want to play I never really have the time that the games require.
I mentionee this elsewhere hours ago, but I used to have a mouse that served me so long, by the time it finally fully died, there was a BB sized hole worn through the plastic of the left button from my finger.
Been using this mouse for years. The scroll wheel is already spazzing out whenever I use it. Still, haven’t had any complaints about it other than that (except for needing iCue).
I don’t need all the side buttons anymore though, so I may go for something simpler for my next mouse. Still, it was the best mouse I could find with that many inputs available to it.
I totally regret buying that elite LCD that slots over the cooler, and all those Corsair fans + the case. I mean the hardware is fine, everything has been trucking a long for a really long time, the AIO, the fans, I’ve never had a problem with any of it from a hardware perspective. But it also means I’m locked into having that friggin ICue running in the background. The amount of other programs that app interferes with and basically fucks up, is unbelievable. I’m not buying anymore Corsair stuff, and iCue is 110% to blame for that.
