I played rdr2 first and later played rdr1. Playing 1 made me want to play 2 again, which I did and loved it even more the 2nd time rpund.
I personally don’t think playing them out of order ruins anything story wise. It’s like watching or playing a sequel as opposed to a prequel if you play 2 first.
But…whilst rdr1 still looks and plays great, playing 2 first may take some of that away, as you’ll be used to rdr2 which is just about as perfect a video game one can be. I’d therefore recommend 1 then 2.
I agree that he could make more structured and elaborate threads, but I wouldn’t call him a clown or spammer for that much.
Might I remind you that you can just ignore him if you don’t want to see his threads? Like that those who wish to engage on those threads still can and you won’t be bothered anymore.
If OP break a community rule or a site wide rule, we will ban him, after warning him, but not otherwise.
But perhaps a good community rule would be to make threads that are conducive to discussion rather than single answers that can be found with a quick web search.
I don’t know how to properly word this, and I hope you don’t take it in a negative way. Is this not something you would want the entire communities opinion on? Just you and the mods going to decide what we want?
I think this would be a first. So there is no real methodology in place right now.
But I’d really like to get the community involved for the decision making, that’s something we’ll discuss internally, but in my opinion I’d like for it to work as following :
The community, LW admin, or the mods express the need for new rules <- We are here
Internal discussion between mods, and, if needed, LW admins, to make sure the new or updated rule is conform to LW rules and what we wish to do with the community.
Once the draft of the new rule is done, we’d publish it as draft to get feedback.
Once most people agree on the new or updated rule, we will start enforce it, first with a bit of leniency, then more strictly.
Sable was a perfect open world that I 100% in about 30 hrs. Totally didn’t overstay it’s welcome. I think they added a fishing quest after I played it so not sure how much that changed things.
I really liked that game and got to 100%, but damn the frame drops. Did the devs ever fix that? It was excruciating anytime you took the hover bike anywhere
Dissenting opinion : ZZZ is actually neat. If you think about it, taking the f2p route, it has a nice and punchy battle system, the writing is quite good even if the story, for now, is quite… standard, I would say. I’m still going through the content, but even if I don’t think I’ll stick with this game forever, 50h of intense brainless fun for free is not something I’ll give an hard pass on.
That being said, yes, nothing beats a labor of love indie game.
Edit : couldn’t agree more with the character design, though. I wish it was less… let’s say… err… more… well, not what it is.
I really like the story and world design. I really dislike the incel inspired jiggle physics and objectification of female characters, and the cringe players raving about half naked women who look 13. It’s gross
I bet it would probably work. You mentioned you’re buying this, just make sure you’re not getting ripped off. This isn’t a very good system for gaming (considering how ridiculous system requirements for modern games are) so I hope your guy isn’t trying to pass that off as such. You can get stuff like this really cheaply on ebay, especially if you have the patience to bargain hunt.
