Marvel Rivals, you hardly ever hear people talk shit to the opposing team but everyone seems to LOVE talking shit to their own teammates any chance they get.
To me, trash talking opponents isn’t really toxic, it’s part of the fun of competitive game modes, but trash talking teammates in a game that stresses team work? Why do you think that helps???
I was really surprised how rivals got so toxic. Are you gonna yell at some cild playing a game that is geard towards children? Pathetic. I got yelled at as a solo healer with a team full of dps. I got yelled at for not having a lot of kills as tank. People start throwing games if they don’t like something. Ranked is the only game mode that is playable because of the bot matches. Ranked is also ass because it’s pretty easy to rank up, it’s less about skill and more about putting hours in. They have such a weird ranking system. People think they are hot shit because they are diamond or gm. But in overwatch terms, being diamond would be gold or silver.
People are going to yell at you no matter what you do, and it’s almost always dps insta-lockers blaming everyone else. I main healers and I can get 25k+ healing in a game but dps will still yell at me for not getting enough kills, as if that isn’t their job.
Eh. Idę książkę poczytać.
Wszystko i nic.
A takich znaleźć trudniej…
Same in Gaijins other game Enlisted. You see a lot of Nazi references in peoples nicknames like 88, SS and variations of famous leaders names and it’s not uncommon at all to see n-bombs etc in chat.
It’s a buggy pay2win shitshow but I must say the actual gameplay is pretty fun. Although I play it regularly myself I can’t recommend it in good conscience.
Sort of, it’s got Moo Moo Meadows which is originally from the wii game I think. That’s also a great one, and the music really slaps, but the n64 tune has that sweet sweet banjo plucking. It always takes me back!
Rocket league toxicity is just so funny to me. Not only is it a game about funny cars playing football, but also console players can’t chat, so what they do is spam things like: nice shot, good save. I only played a few hours of rocket league, and my teammates HATED me. I didn’t even do that bad, and yeah, i also wished i wasn’t a noob.
Had a similar experience on PS3. Got online, set my status to friendly or what it’s called, and was killed constantly by vehicles. Stopped playing it then and there. I had hoped you could do co-op shenanigans and not get killed all the time.
I still remember the launch trailer. People hanging out. 10 people skydiving in a formation. People having fun in general. In reality? Get shot, get blown up, get shot by heatseeking missiles, get sniped from across the map. I played gtao on launch for a bit and then maybe a year later to see what it’s like. It was miserable, and i don’t get it.
Nie wiem, ale jeżeli innych nie ma to zapraszamy do Łodzi. Cały tydzień wypełniony różnymi wydarzeniami (co na taką pustynię jak Łódź jest sporym osiągnięciem).
Thats crazy you experience this. I have like 1500 hours in SoT, and it’s Rare (pun intended) to even hear other crews use voice chat. I can’t remember the last time someone was toxic. My only gripe is their servers suck sooooooooo much ass, I legit don’t think they have a single employee that knows how fix it.
Maybe I magically attract those toxic people. Could also be my regular crewmate who plays a female black pirate and gets double the bullshit. I have a few videos with us being called the N-word and screenshots with horrible ship or guild names and Rare barely does anything about it.
I buy games to have a library to pull from when the mood takes me. If I finished them all then I would no longer have that, which seems bad.
The reward for finishing a "backlog" of games is having nothing more to play. That's like trying to finish a meal in a restaurant quickly to get to the after dinner mint.
I despise treating gaming as an obligation like this. I have a collection of games, not a "backlog".
I don’t buy anything I don’t want to play right now (or after the current game, and it’s on sale right now), so don’t have the backlog issue, but I need closure. I can’t leave my games unfinished. I can drop a game if I want, but I need to mentally “finish” it. Either by completing it or by dropping it.
I have something in the region of a thousand games collected over about twenty years. If the price is good and it looks like I might like it (and I can afford to fritter the money away) then I buy it.
That's a thousand (ish) opportunities for entertainment, not a thousand (ish) obligations.
I bought all the rainbow six games in a bundle just to play Vegas, got to Vegas 2 maybe a year ago. I might get through the other 5 over the next 20 years.
Personally, I don’t really go out socially. Like ever.
So once a week or so when my friends go out to the bars and spend $50 on food and beers, I might spend a $20 on a game that’s on sale and get the same or better return on my time and money for it. If I buy a game for $20 and spend five hours on it and never touch it again, that’s about equivalent to a night out with the boys, both in dollars spent and in hours enjoyed.
I’ve built up a collection of indie games on this mindset and I don’t see any of it as wasted. If I get a lower return than $5 per hour enjoyed then I’ll refund the game or not recommend it for others. But I have a ton of games that have kept me well entertained for 3-6 days for the price of a beer and a kebab. I consider that good value.
Bought the 1st Gen, it had issues with power management, but I pulled the board and put it in one of their cases and threw in a 7840u, it’s a monster and just slays.
Their new Gen has discrete GPUs as an option if you have more money than sense.
My brother bought a Framework 16 recently with the discrete GPU on my recommendation and it was not silly pricing. Mobile workstations with discrete graphics and comparable specs in that size class were all $2000USD or more and the Framework was maybe 15% higher. Well worth it for the intentional repairability and upgradability.
I have a 16 with a discrete GPU. Couldn’t recommend it more. It does sound like a rocket ship sometimes, but performs like a midrange tower, which is exactly what I wanted.
