Just finished Cult of the Lamb, but might have to pick it up for this. The survival mechanics sound interesting and it seems like they mesh well with the base game. Also, the crown having its own little tent when you sleep is a nice touch.
That game is being developed by an entirely different company. Even though several Crate employees worked on TQ1, Crate doesn’t own the TQ IP. THQ does.
I love ARPGs, I grew up on diablo 2, have been playing path of exile for 10 years, but Grim Dawn has yet to resonate with me. What am I doing wrong? So many people speak highly of it, at this point, it has to be on me.
Maybe you just played the wrong masteries (classes). I’m not a huge fan of guns, grenades and so on, so style wise it took a bit to find something I enjoy playing in Grim Dawn. Playing a mage also didn’t vibe with me too much.
The furthest I got was with Oathkeeper + Soldier (Warlord), throwing your shield, charging groups etc. was super fun.
As for gameplay: The secret areas and chests are neat, you’re getting rewarded for actually exploring the world. Loot is pretty good too, especially as you can target farm because the monster type you kill matters.
Story is there too, but to get fully into it you need to read a lot (as the meat of the world building is in the messages/logs you find strewn around).
The base game is nice, but they really knocked it out of the park with Ashes of Malmouth, it’s a huge expansion with really good set pieces.
Every time I think the game has nothing new to show me they release a major patch, an expansion or add proper gamepad support so I can play it on Steam Deck as well and now this. So I usually jump in and realize how freaking good this game is. Its either installed on my desktop PC or SD or both for the past few years.
Its a no brainer and probably a day 1 purchase as the devs deserve every cent! I think another playthrough is in order soon.
I dislike the GD/Titan Quest style of character builds (a lot of awkward “meta” mechanics and you more or less are the same character from level ten to endgame) but GD is very much a game I go back to every few months. So pretty much a no brainer to buy this expansion. Just something about the encounter balance and meatiness of attacks keeps me happy
Which is a shame that everything feels so “whiff” in the Titan Quest remaster.
As a transgender person and as just a citizen of the world in general, I hate the "politicizing" of things. The validity of my personhood and whether I deserve basic human rights isn't political. And yet, transgender rights are questioned and removed in the regions where "politicizing" factions have roots, and "transgender porn" is searched far more there too. Hypocrisy in action, but their entire philosophy is about burying their heads in the sand, so of course their own hypocrisy evades their notice.
Neither is Planned Parenthood's mission to give people options for family planning political. Anyone who disagrees with Planned Parenthood can choose not to use their services, but as has been proven time and time again, the places where Planned Parenthood is needed most of all is in the places which try to ban it so vehemently. They don't care about the women who die in back-alley abortions, and they don't care that proper sex education can actually prevent abortions because talking about sex makes them squeamish. They yell and scream "murderer" to the doctors who are actively trying to help them and save their lives because they can't see past the indoctrination.
The people rabid to "politicize" things they disagree with are the biggest of hypocrites and I'm so tired of seeing companies capitulating to these blinded idiots over "political issues" that have no business being labelled "political". I'm a person, I deserve the same human rights as anyone else, and women deserve the right to choose what happens to their bodies. It's obvious and self evident to anyone who isn't burying their head in the sand, or still trying to dictate the lives of others based on ancient fairy tales.
