Dariusmiles2123, (edited ) do games w Forget Phantom Liberty, Cyberpunk 2077's free 2.0 patch is a staggering upgrade on its own

I’m gonna give it a chance and have a second playthrough one of these days.

Still the story was my problem the first time…

I enjoyed the game, but it could have been way better.

cryomancer20x6, do games w Games consoles are infuriatingly exempt from California's otherwise important new right to repair bill

I wonder where the Steam Deck falls since it can be used as a general computer, but the primary intended use is to play games.

Pika,
@Pika@sh.itjust.works avatar

game console for sure, as the rest of the have the capability as well but it’s general focus is gaming.

QuaternionsRock,

Can’t install a general computer OS on any other “console” out of the box though.

I wouldn’t expect Valve to have a problem with conforming to right-to-repair laws anyway. I have a hard time imagining they’re taking a bath on hardware that you can completely remove their storefront from.

Bluescluestoothpaste,

But general focus isn’t a specific legal term is it? Like what about gaming laptops? Isn’t that the same thing? I haven’t read the law so idk if it creates that specificity.

Osrs players doing anything they can to play the game as afk as possible.

That being said I’m interested in this mining method. What’s the xp per hour?

CMLVI,
@CMLVI@kbin.social avatar

It's only 1.5k/hr more, so short term gains are marginal. But over the course of the skill, you can expect to save roughly 30 hours.

(This is literally all made up, but you have so many extra toes, just try it out) ((Also ignore that they added a tired mechanic so you can't AFK mine it anymore, that'll get reverted. You wanna be ready for when it comes back, detach that sucker))

Fizz,
@Fizz@lemmy.nz avatar

I’m getting rid of all my toes just incase the remove the tired mechanic. Toes are useless to me anyway

rancor,

I read that it’s a 10k/hr method or thereabouts

teawrecks, do gaming w Bethesda says most of Starfield's 1000+ planets are dull on purpose

Remember when Sean Murray said prior to NMS launch that it was part of their vision for you to be alone in a vast uncharted universe with nowhere to call a home? That was code for, “we don’t have multiplayer or basebuilding, and there’s not really anything interesting enough for you to stay there long term”.

Give Starfield a few years, they’ll figure out what to do with those planets.

Straight out of “30 things I hate about your pitch”, which is a great GDC talk. In that talk he has one thing that is “in the real world you can’t double jump”. Don’t make a realistic setting that is realistic just because.

I just want both Portals remastered (or even just ported) for PS5

WiildFiire,

Unlikely because the last portal on console was Portal 1 on the orange box for ps3

papis802,

Portal came out on switch

smeg,

1 and 2 apparently, I totally missed that!

darkpanda,

Portal 2 also came out on PS3 and Xbox 360 but was a standalone and not part of the Orange Box. Portal 2 on consoles was interesting because I believe it also came with a Steam key for the game as well.

Meruten,

As well as a version of steam that ran directly on the console. You could login and chat with your steam friends, if I recall correctly.

Might be a while if what I’m hearing is true… The Xbox Series S can’t handle couch co-op, and while it runs fine on the Series X, Microsoft demands feature parity. :(

ign.com/…/microsoft-engineers-helping-get-baldurs…

We always suspected the S would hold things back, here’s proof. :( I hope Microsoft comes out with a discless version of the X and just drops the S.

stopthatgirl7,
!deleted7120 avatar

Either that, or they’ve got to lessen their requirements for parity.

winety,
@winety@communick.news avatar

Yeah. I’ve heard that. I’m glad Microsoft made the Series S; I own one and it’s my gate to modern gaming, as I don’t have enough money for a good computer nor Series X. It’s a nifty little machine. Obviously, I don’t want Microsoft to lower the parity requirements nor — shudder to think — discontinue the Series S. At the same time, I would really like to play BG3. Difficult times. I guess lowering the parity requirements would be the preferred option.

I wonder how many people actually play the Larian RPGs in multiplayer and what percentage of them uses couch coop. Personally, I can’t really see playing a long cRPG with someone else.

I’d love another good hero shooter after Overwatch shit the bed, and Rivals doesn’t really do it for me.

It’s been my favorite multiplayer genre since Quake World Team Fortress.

thingsiplay,
@thingsiplay@lemmy.ml avatar

I play Rivals a lot. Played Paladins for couple of hundred hours too and that wasn’t it (besides stopped working on Linux). The biggest problem of Rivals in my opinion is, its too much for casual and unbalanced, and their focus is to make it “engaging and fun”. Nothing will beat peak Overwatch 1 days, that’s for sure…

OrgunDonor,
@OrgunDonor@lemmy.world avatar

It’s not really a hero shooter, but I think it stands out. The Finals.

You have 3 distinct class options. Light, Medium and Heavy, with base build options for each one.

So as a light you are small fast and then can have one of 3 abilities, dashes, a grappling hook, or invisibility. A medium, more health but larger and slower, can have a healing gun, turret or dematerializer(temporarily remove walls). Or finally a heavy, very big and slow, but even more health, and can choose between a hook, shield, charge(smashes through walls), or a good gun.

You the pick a gun, and 4 utility options. The guns are class locked, so you can have a mp5 on a light, but a heavy gets a M60, all distinct and a pretty well matched for the classes. You utility options are more mixed, you have general options like frag, pyro, gas and goo grenades, but also specific ones like a jump pad for medium, or teleport gates for light, heavy gets barricades.

So while it isn’t a hero shooter it’s got a nice blend of hero shooter elements, and I personally love that it couples that with destructible environments. The main game mode(cashout and tournament), is a 3v3v3v3 capture and hold with 2 active points that can also be doubled up, but the point you hold is movable. You can bury it under rubble, move it into the open, or just fortify the area as best you can.

I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for more heros shooters, if you don’t mind relaxing the hero part of it .

Zombiepirate,
@Zombiepirate@lemmy.world avatar

That does sound interesting, kind of like you build your own class. I’ll check it out, thanks!

thingsiplay,
@thingsiplay@lemmy.ml avatar

I love hero shooters. Its my favorite type of multiplayer online game. I wish we had more variety than just a handful. Other genres get lot of variety and people pick the best and favorite one.
