I am shocked that this is actually happening. Between continuous performance issues, and the overall “maintenance mode”-like state of the game, I definitely did not expect for them to start working on something of this scale. Definitely looking promising
Even co-op in gacha games doesn’t qualify as MMO, because for that you need hundreds or thousands of players being simultaneously in the same persistent world. This is the same reason why games like Dota, League of Legends or Counter Strike aren’t considered MMO.
What better way to show your game isn’t mired in controversy by disabling likes and comments on your showcase video. This isn’t going to end well, but I hope I’m wrong.
I received a refund in 2018 though they have since tried changing their EULA and TOS to make it harder, they have no legal standing to refuse a refund to Australian customers.
I was refunded for around $750 USD IIRC and at one point was in email contact with Will Leverett prior to my refund being approved.
The idea sounds very very similar to Last Oasis. I heard that just turned into a gank fest on launch so I never played, not sure if it is any better now.
Same as. I played it for about 2 hours not really getting very far the. the server went down for like 2 - 3 weeks (this is in early access) so I refunded. After it was back up all I heard about it was massive gank groups and the inability to play at all solo so I never bothered.
I liked the Palia beta and the Chinese New Year event. The world seems a bit dead sometimes though, and the quests can be boring. I haven't played in a while, I lost interest. I'll have to revisit it sometime.
I'm so excited about PoE 2. And I think that they have the right idea about caring more about the new-player experience. Hillock alone probably turned away a hundred thousand players...
I see mention of full gamepad support, which makes me happy. When I can play it from my steam deck without wonky input customization I will finally dive back into the game.
