I’m playing Skyrim. Kind of. 5 days in to rebuilding my mod list since playing last year.

what do you mean, “Kind of?” Rebuilding modlists is the point of Skyrim!

Grass,

Rebuilding mod list: already pro tourney gamer level but single player.

Finally jumped back into Octopath Traveller 2. Time to finish those quests.

Galactic Civilizations III. I'm about 10 turns away from filling up the Ascension Crystals with a custom civilization focused on research.
The research tree seems endless with many 1-turn tech still left to unlock and I have no idea what to focus on in order to build the Ascension Portal/Gate thing.
But I unlocked the Huge design for ships, so I'm going to try and make one before the time is up.

I spent around 8 hours total on this match, most of it Sunday. I'll probably finish it tomorrow if I have time to play.

Finished Lost Odyssey over the weekend, and I’ve moved on to Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Torna.

The menus still drive me nuts like they did with the base game, but it’s still fun to wander around. The characters are already growing on me a bit too.

caut_R,

Does it have different characters than XBC2? I have it lying around but I feel like I‘m not ready to see them without Rex since the trio grew on me so much over the course of the game

Ashtear,

Some, yes. The flashbacks in XBC2 give a general idea of who’s around, plus some new characters.

I recently got Demon’s Souls up and running on my Steam Deck, it ran so well and I got totally absorbed in it playing it once through with the Blueblood sword.

This got me in the mood for more Souls-likes, so I just finished off The Surge 2.

It’s a better game than the first, more interesting combat, but suffers from similar issues to the first in long travel times, sometimes confusing level design and sometimes the combat can be frustrating.

Getting back into Zelda TotK. Mapping out the depths…

Baldur’s Gate 3 on the desktop because it’s so good and Bayonetta on my Steamdeck because I got it dirt cheap from humble bundle and it plays great there :)

I think it’s boring

falsem,

Me too. There's little challenge or risk. Progression is really slow and can't really be sped up. Borderline an interactive screensaver.

Xenonauts 2 alpha 3 released. Playing that.

And Factorio, but’s that’s like answering “what are you doing this weekend” with “I’m going to do X… And I’m going to be breathing.”

I love this game but nobody has time to play it with me any more. Neither do I really.

cashews_best_nut, do edc w 13 year old Zippo

I’d love a nice simple zippo like this. Fire is what makes us human so I’ve always felt a deep connection to it. It wouldn’t just be useful for so many things it’d also be great to fiddle with, whip out light it flip back and pocket. I also love the smell.

I need a Zippo!

@cashews_best_nut @fujiwood If you do want a lighter like a zippo, make sure to get a butane insert, not the original zippo insert! The butane ones are easier to use and don't leak fuel.

Note that many of those new zippo inserts are made in China. Countycomm sells great "peanut lighters" which are small, circular (pill container style) and completely waterproof. They don't leak fuel either and are made in the USA.
Zippos are just such a great form factor for pocket carry

hatedbad,

butane inserts are great for a lot of people, but there’s just no beating the nostalgia of that og flame. if you use your lighter regularly it’s easy enough to keep it topped off every two weeks or so.

zippo also sells a small fuel canister that is airtight, if you keep a bag on you that’s a great way to have a backup

constantokra,

You have a recommendation on butane inserts? I’ve gone through a few, and they’re great until they don’t work, and that doesn’t seem to take too long.

Man, I have been so into EVE Online lately. I don’t know what it is, but it’s got its hold on me. Slow, incremental improvements that pay off later, with inventory/time management and a solid corp (EUNI) just ticks all my MMO boxes.

Just beat the Telltale Expanse game (plus DLC). Just goooooood fun.

Beyond that, trying to wrap up Grounded.

feoh,

I saw so many Meh reviews of The Expanse. Glad to hear someone who enjoyed it! I’m a HUUGE fan of the books and TV show and would love to play the game at some point!

lobster,

It’s not the best game ever, but I do love me some expanse, so I had to play it. It’s a prequel to the show/books.

Mainly Genshin/HSR/Arknights

Just finished Yakuza Gaiden so not much to do. Was great to play Gaiden though, it was invigorating to not feel like I was on a daily grind.

A lot of my gameplay is gated by friend availability atm, and they have not been available.

Having some fun in palworld with a friend, but I’m obssessed with Immortal Life now, a farming game with a wuxia theme where you can use chinese magic to help you water crops and stuff, very cute and a nice QoL for these games.
