i picked it up on launch and was one of the few people the enjoyed it. after all the updates though i will say it is far better. I’m doing a Rifleman build and trying to do my first Scorch beast (after trying at my first attempt a few years ago solo and failing at the silo)
I fucking love create to the point when me and some friends put together a server, create is the first thing I go for. It’s cool until like the next day where I have an iron farm setup and they’re still trying to get enough for an armor set.
Yeah it’s great. If you haven’t yet check out the pack “Create: Above and Beyond”, it’s a Create centric expert pack. Pretty challenging and a lot of fun
Thank you! I like sharing the game’s i’m playing. I hope it encourages someone to try a new game (or pick up a game for the 80th time cough cough skyrim cough)
I like them. My favorites are the ones on the far left and far right. I think it would do some good to diversify the horror factor; instead of sharp teeth, maybe have a too-big set of human(ish) teeth. This example would be best on the far-right one, since its eyes are already pretty freaky. Making some of them more uncanny would go a long way for you. Looks good, though :-)
Thank you so much that is very helpful! I totally agree! I am still experimenting with 3D modeling so will surly test around as best as I can! Thank you for your time and helpful tips! :)
The studio closed, alongside some major scandals about how badly they abused their employees. They were working on another game that ended up getting canceled when they closed down.
I believe Rockstar/Take Two still own the IP but have no interest in using it at this time, and it’s been long enough that not many people remember it or have much sentimental attachment, so I wouldn’t expect anything new anytime soon.
There was a VR version that came out a few years ago that sparked a brief revival, and initially it was really fun. But of course Rockstar doesn't care to maintain it, so now there's a ton of issues if you try to play it these days. Last I checked a lot of people who bought it where full on locked out because of activation key issues.
I’ve been to a convention before where someone has called out my online handle/gaming username. It was really funny.
The only time I was horrified was when I was requesting payment via P×ypal and someone mentioned my legal name. Felt like I was going to pass out for a second. I fucking hate P×ypal…
It depends. If my friends call me by my name, I immediately feel like something serious has happened to them and they need my help.
If my coworkers, parents, or acquaintances call me by my alias, it’s because I’m either dreaming, living in a simulation, or something has gone very very wrong. That’d put me in fight/flight/freeze for sure.
A mark of a great game is its replayability. I know for some that's difficult because of the knowledge you have afterwards, but it can still be fun to relive things. On the flip side, a not so great game is the one where you never want to go through the struggle and grind again because it frankly wasn't fun.
I strongly agree with this. There are so many games out there that if you asked someone if they were excited to replay it, they just be confused. Like, what’s the point of playing a game that’s mostly going from cutscene to cutscene?
Some games are challenges that many people feel as completed when they finish it. For me, that would be Portal. The storytelling through the setting was great, but the main focus was the puzzles which aren’t as fun the second time through. Portal 2 has a great story that makes it fun to replay, but that doesn’t mean Portal was a bad game because it didn’t have a story line worth replaying. Plus Portal 2 had the additional custom puzzles that made it worth playing outside of the story itself.
Being an unfun challenge is definitely the sign of a bad game., or at least a bad match for the player. I’m sure there are plenty of people who think Dark Souls/Elden Rings are bad games because of the frustration factor, some only play it once to get the satisfaction of beating it, and there are people who play through it over and over again.
