Oh for sure, I meant more anyone here since the planetside community here isn’t the most active even compared to the planetside subreddit.
I still play the game and have played briefly in 2018 and then played since the summer of 2020 and I’ve in the abusive relationship that is this game since then
By living on student loan and playing them endlessly until I got bored of the lack of things I haven’t seen before 😂. Now Im bored of them I managed to land a good paying job but it mostly goes towards paying the student loan 😅
I make games a fallback activity. If I can go be social, I’ll pick that instead. I date people so I try to spend time with them.
I set timers. Every hour or two the timer goes off, and I have to go do something else. Either something productive like an errand or just something not on the computer.
I have a full time job. I never play games when I’m supposed to be working. I work from home so it would be easy to fire up the other computer and play a little between work stuff, but that’s a horrible idea so I don’t.
I have a self imposed bed time. I had to use an alarm for this for a while but now it’s just habit. Also I’m getting old so I get tired sooner.
@jjjalljs Ok, defiantly sounds like I have a addiction to gaming. I seem to put gaming before my partner (as well as previous partners, when I was with them). Annoyingly my goal is to replace some of my gaming time with other tasks such as Video Editing what I'd like to create my own business about but I keep on making walls to why I should not do it such as the easy my bank has still not sorted my online banking for my business so I can't edit for people, there's no point in even editing for myself or even booting the software.
I saw a suggestion from someone else to possibly Gamify my life what sounds like a good thing to do. It's nice to know some people can just do it, thank you.
My wife keeps me in check. Not in that she’s telling me when I can play, but that, I’m thinking about her before and while I play, and whether or not I’m being considerate.
@Rhynoplaz It's one of the reasons I hope to not spend 10+ hours a day on games as I do enjoy my time with my partner but it has turned into you watch things on the TV well I play some games that I've already been playing all day.
To expand a bit on the user base issue: Even on Reddit with its giant user base a game needs to have a decently sized audience in order to sustain a healthy and active subreddit.
Now, hypothetically speaking, even if this place had a tenth of the user base, it would mean that a game would still need to be 10x bigger in comparison in order to maintain an active community.
For now, only a very, very small handful of games are above that threshold.
It's the biggest lie that there is "server upgrade and service will be recovered in couple of days" or something like that. Unless it is constant server upgrade.
A button lock knife is very popular. Many are well under $100. I’d recommend the CJRB Pyrite Alt for a blade shape more similar to a razor. if you want even smaller the Mini Pyrite Alt is a great 5th pocket carry. www.knifecenter.com/kc_new/store_store.html?steel…
Might be banned as a “balisong”. Lost mine, but I had it in my utility belt to work at camp. Worked well when I had another handful. Takes some practice to get the swing of it down pat.
If legal for you to purchase and own (important, these are different distinctions), an automatic knife would be the safest for one handed operation. Anything from the Kershaw Launch line will be bulletproof and have decent steel.
Non-auto non-assisted button locks (the type of knife you asked for) are kind of niche. Kizer makes some decent ones, and Civivi makes the exact razor blade utility knife you’re looking for, but in higher quality and within your budget.
Otherwise I gotta say, if you’re not a current knife enthusiast, look for sales on Benchmade Griptilians (or mini-griptilians). The Axis lock is not exactly a button press but if you want higher quality, it’s a good option.
There's one tool for Lemmy but I never found anything similar for kBin unfortunately. Automatic account migration is also stuck as a planned feature for Mbin at the moment.
Heard about one called Grouvee recently, it’s a site that can help manage your Steam library and backlog. The person who introduced me to it described it as “Goodreads for video games”. Steam already does a good job of keeping track of people’s libraries, but those who have a large library and backlog may find it useful.
