Man, they are still not selling them in Norway, so only one shop has them as a “special import”, and it cost 827GBP for even the 64GB version lol.
Oh well, not as if it is that useful for me since I am usually at home almost all the time after work anyways. I have barely even used the Nintendo Switch’s portable mode.
I use mine mostly to play older games that cant be alt tabbed easily. Playing through Morrowind with the OpenMW engine lately, for example. Also been doing a lot of Yakuza 0. I have a 64 GB SD card as well though. For the really big stuff I can stream from my gaming PC.
Honestly, Game Pass is a pretty good deal if you are okay with Windows. It’s entirely how they are locking in the next generation of players but honestly, if it’s a good deal and you are using Windows anyways (because at this point is far better than Linux, sorry but it’s true.) then there really isn’t an issue. The monthly trial isn’t the reason most people started with game pass. Especially with Starfield going on game pass day one people will be flocking to game pass just to try it.
Normally I am hesitant about refurbs, but Valve is one company I trust would stand by their product. Pretty good deal. I’d probably pick it up if I didn’t have my pre-order unit.
That is great news. This could make moding a steamdeck a bit more buget friendly. Would love to know if this option is avalible in the eu (nl) I wouldn’t mind getting a refurbishd steam if it’s cheaper
How shitty do you need to be to make your workers complete a ton of work on a project and then only credit the executives who didn't even do the actual work? Altagram is run by garbage people.
I kinda hope they go back to a more gritty and realistic theme like they had going on with FC2. I wouldn’t mind a Blood Dragon sequel though, I feel like there’s a lot of potential.
I’ve recently played a bit of FarCry 6 since its on PS+ Extra and…honestly, I don’t get who these games are made for these days. There’s a veneer of absurdity and seriousness but it doesn’t fully commit to either, while having the typical overstuffed Ubisoft open-world. Ends up not going into either the military shooter direction or the goofy, zany shooter direction or in any other direction. It just kinda is, like a fatty, filling but ultimately bland fast food.
So yea, a reinvention would be good, but I at this point I believe Ubisoft games are their own genre, for better or for worse.
I would guess they’re made for people who really really like Far Cry 3, because the gameplay loops do not appear to have fundamentally changed since that game came out in 2012.
Unfortunately, no. I used to love Ubi games, played every single one following the formula because they’re fun and get cheap fast.
But in recent memory, all of their games have tried to shove annoying gimmicks in and take away from what made the games enjoyable. Far Cry 6 was one of the least bad ones, but games like New Dawn, Breakpoint, and WD Legion are disasters that have driven me off.
I remember fondly playing overwatch 1 with my friends and sinking in hundreds of hours. If they wanted to break into the steam market they should have done it with the first one. Not with their lackluster, phoned in sequel. This was just stupid of them.
I loved Assassin's Creed 2, so I didn't bat an eye buying Brotherhood and Revelations as they had the same basic background. They were full price games and I played for about 15 to 20 hours on each. That's not much for full price. They were basically just new story lines for the main game.
Personally, I sometimes like when a game feels like just a new storyline (and map) for the same game. Sometimes I just want more of a good thing and don’t want to have to learn new mechanics or risk the game making things worse.
And since dev time is limited, I think in theory, this could mean more time could be spent on making the story missions perfect. But in practice, I don’t think that usually happens. Publishers would rather cheap out.
Lol when I first updated it the game didn’t replace my desktop icon so it was still saying overwatch 1 so yes just stupid patch that ruined a perfectly good game haven’t returned since
An update implies they changed something to the game. This was just an update to the monetization. A blatant pure cash grab sold as a sequel game. Its a travesty, and if they had any decency they’d scrap it, apologize, and release “Overwatch 2 A Realm Reborn” that is an actual legitimate sequel to the original game.
