Unity is firing people as a result of a failed monetization attempt by the chief executive. I would argue the employees should have a case against the company and the chief executive. As this was so poorly implemented, fault could be argued.

competition is good for the games market. Steam needs a well funded co petitie of note. This helps drive innovation and keeps prices down.

Yeah I sort of get what you are saying. But I see it as less of an issue. The Devs take a pay for timed exclusivity and this helps development. But in the end the exclusivity will go away as devs will in no way keep part of 5heir consumerbase from their product. And I can wait… But I see your point fo sho!

We agree in the most part, and I’m happy the dev they tried to strongarm had a spine and called them out. That put a stop to that pretty quick.

Any monopolist behavior is bad imho, but I can see room for limited exclusivity. But not copyright, 100 years after the authors death limited… 6 months maybe 12… that’s it.

Especially when playing 3rd person games, I find that I enjoy looking at a woman more than at a man in. Also mostly I think the character customization is better.

I tend to play co-op with a friend and enjoyed playing V-Rising on a private server. We built up our vampire lair and roamed the lands collecting resources and expanding the lair. The bosses are challenging, and the map is varied. It is also fun to play with friends as the game accommodates this very well.

I personally really disliked the latest Far cry. Graphics where nice, story was ok-ish but the outlandish aspects of the gameplay (supremo’s… pets…) made it a snoozefest without any challenge. Setting the enemies to bulletsponge made it even more unbearable. I’ll be waiting for the bargain bin for the next installment.

I enjoyed 3 to 5, probably 3 and 5 more than 4. I did not enjoy 6 at all.

What are the best multiplayer games to try if me and my friends are looking for a similar experience to a Bungie Halo campaign marathon on Heroic+ difficulty? angielski

PC. We played through all of the 3+ player ones around a year or two ago in chronological order and it was stupid fun, what we liked about it and are hoping to find elsewhere is it being a shooter with an emphasis on movement and it’s physics sandbox (AKA CHAOS) while still having at least 3 full campaigns to play through in a...

Not all are made equally though. Make sure to not skip the Tiny Tina ones.

While terrible, the most of these people make a lot of money and could have also unionized over the past years. Covid also showed them what was on the horizon. But instead the prevailing US worker strategy in these high paying jobs seems to be “get yours”.

Corporate greed can only be stopped by disallowing the divide and conquer strategy they employ. Individual bargening against large corporations only works if the employer works in good faith. So when the relationship was good they could have also formed a union and work together to have a fair footing if anything changes in that good relationship. The employees as a group missed that window and now that it’s needed the framework for collective bargaining is not there and individuals are left holding the bag.

Unions should not be demonized as a bad thing or punishment for the employer, it is a counterweight to the corporate machine if it ever shows it’s ugly head. Good employers have nothing to fear if they work together.

Actually I successfully have, just not in the US. The US has pretty hostile regulations against unions. Or maybe lacks regulations against companies squashing them.

I sort of get your point, but sometimes the truth also stings a little and people need to be aware that when it’s good is when you need to prepare for the downturn, that is the moment to prepare your nestegg, unionize etc.

As I said in the other comment, the Union has been villofied by corpo’s that people in the US think they are only to antagonize the company.

You seem to be making a mountain out of a molehill. Attacking the tone of the message adds nothing.

The “pull yourself up by the bootstraps” view of the world is something most Americans ascribe to. It might not apply to an individual but it definitely describes the group.

Yes years of corporate propaganda made an impact, I hope for them they can be the change they want to see.

Gods speed, hope you succeed

This will be epic in terms of the cluster fuck it can generate.

Mod makers making more than the game creators, commercializing someone elses products, asset and mod theft and monetezation, revenue split…

Lemme grab my popcorn.
