Exec,

Obligatory “fuck Quantic Dream”

What did I miss?

Exec,

Stardew Valley is $15 (and getting yet another free update soon).

I thought it already had its final update

Exec,

WoW was just such a massive phenomenon (and still is, tbh), basically everyone at least knew about it, and for so many people it basically became more of a second life than second life (old people joke), massively changing the life of these people (me being a part of it). It was basically the place where social outcasts could be social, which was huge. For me, and many others, it was all the friends they had.

Its legacy now lives on in FFXIV.

Exec,

Most of those “sequels” had something new and innovative and not just a spec bump. The Switch 2 does not really have anything so far

Exec,

Yuzu was accepting money for early access and also had compatibility specifically for leaked games before their release

Exec,

What other video games have been secretly eroding the very fabric of American society?

You do realise that PEGI stands for Pan European Game Information, right?

The Plucky Squire Should Have More Faith In Its Players (kotaku.com)

You see, The Plucky Squire falls prey to one of modern gaming’s most well-intentioned, but still utterly annoying, sins and overtly tutorializes everything. When it deigns to allow the player to pop out of their storybook for a 3D platforming level, the camera pans across the entirety of the stage outlining the intended path...

Exec,

Among the business ones
Dell: No Vostro
Lenovo: No ThinkPad E series

Exec,

Shoot em up: Iridion 2
RPG: Mega Man Battle Network series
Racing: just Mario Kart Super Circuit lol

Exec,

The movie industry is killing movie piracy, as the age old saying goes

Exec,

Wasn’t as good, imo.

The first one was maybe weird because it was still setting itself up. The second one was indeed a filler and the worst of the series (but nowhere near MMBN4-level bad). The third one on the other hand is easily a masterpiece beating MMBN6.

Exec,

The forced day-night cycle timer perhaps?

Exec,

Also wouldn’t that pull in major antitrust violation cases especially in the EU?

Exec,

From the description he put on the per track pages he just added a bunch of equalizers, compressors, stereo imaging shapers and increased the BPM because why not. Oh and also he added “audiophile grade” to the title for good measure.

Exec,

Hasn’t it been like that for decades now?

Exec,

Me, as one who only read the first line before scrolling to the comments, good thing that others pointed out about the topic itself

Exec,

Skipping the dialogues of course

Why are you skipping the dialogue in an RPG?

Exec,

Okay, so you basically reduce the game’s content because you nullify major sections due you not liking it then claim it doesn’t exist? In the end all RPGs are based on the variations “talk to someone” with action being the second thing. I wish you don’t ever start playing Final Fantasy 14 which has like 60% of the content are cutscenes and dialogue.

Exec,

WoW but with the storytelling of FFXIV

Exec,

Doesn’t that mean that the last man standing is the first to lose?

Looking for games with unique core mechanics

I’m requesting for recommendations for games that stand out from the rest in their genre, and not in the sense of being the best game in that niche but actually bringing something new and innovative to the table. I’ve not had much experience in gaming, but I have a few games to give you a hint on what I am talking about:...

Exec,

Also, there’s a Steam achievement you get by not playing it for 10 years.

Wasn’t that 4 or 5 years?

Exec,

Ah, but that’s a different game technically

Exec,

Now who am I supposed to root for? TF2 again? Is that game even still alive?

Yes; Yes.

Exec,

Huh, WoW’s gotten very expensive. FF14 is about €11.

Exec,

I hope the Blood Dragon gets a proper sequel this time

What are some game genres / styles you like that aren't being made anymore, or are being mde but not very often? angielski

For me it’s first person puzzle games. I can think of maybe a dozen off the top of my head that came out in the last decade. I especially enjoy when they’re open world. The ability to just quit a puzzle that’s stumped you and go try something else for a little bit is incredibly refreshing.

Exec,

Toxikk, but multiplayer playerbase died pretty quickly.

Exec,

at the very “screen”

In older games they were called “rooms”
