Cyberpunk 2077 with Phantom Liberty. 100+ hours of pure joy. And when you need to take the edge off, you can always spend a nice evening with the love of your life.

I 100%ed Factorio recently, and I still play it, and I’m looking forward to the expansion that’s about to drop

Lost_My_Mind,

…you can 100% that game? I thought it was like tetris, where it just keeps going on and on and on and on, stripping your sanity away, until you even see the game when you close your eyes. Soon you forget you have a wife and kids. Must grow the factory…must…grow…wait, was my son 11 months old, or 11 years old? He’s in college???

Must grow the factory…

kurwa,

There’s achievements and you can also “beat the game” when you launch your first rocket. The expansion is going to make it way longer though.

AngryishHumanoid, do games w What’s a game you can 100% without hating by the end?

Batman Arkham Asylum and (probably) Arkham City.

Blisterexe,

do riddler trophies count towards 100?

AngryishHumanoid,

Yup.

Duck Detective: The Secret Salami

xantoxis,

The game where finishing it is 100%'ing

CaptainEffort, do games w What’s a game you can 100% without hating by the end?

Lots of indie games, but To the Moon is an easy one. Super sad, but it’s a short game that’s 100%’d once you finish the story

jballs,
@jballs@sh.itjust.works avatar

I loved To the Moon. Imposter Factory was great as well.

CaptainEffort,

I hadn’t checked out their other stuff, so I didn’t know about Imposter Factory. Another game added to the wishlist, excited to check it out!

Nice! Hope you enjoy it.

Artemis, do games w What’s a game you can 100% without hating by the end?

Baldur’s Gate 1 & 2…the exploration of the wilds while so vulnerable in the first game is something I’ll never get bored of while the second game just takes it to a whole other level with your power growing so immense. They still totally hold up with the extended editions!

Those games are so littered with trash mobs that I definitely didn’t have the stamina for 100%.

100,

i would recommend anyone playing them to use the teleport cheat to skip the slow map movement and backtracking

saves several hours in a playthrough easily

SOMA. I unlocked all achievements just by beating it lol. I've 100%'d Kirby & the Amazing Mirror a few times.

The Walking Dead Tell Tale game also gave you 100% by beating it.

I’ll wait for some more performance reviews and maybe even a few patches, but this sounds promising. Was looking forward to this game so I’m glad it seems like it delivers.

MarcomachtKuchen, do games w Black Myth: Wukong - Review Thread

Really happy it’s getting good scores. The mentioned perfomance makes me worried tho

eutsgueden,

The issues sound patchable to a layman like myself. Embrace patient gaming and enjoy in a month or so.

scrubbles, do games w What is your opinion about Read dead redemtion 1 in terms of graphics by todays standards?
!deleted6348 avatar

I also have a harder time with older games, but RDR1 is definitely an exception. It’s worth playing for sure, and RDR2 is probably the best game I’ve ever played. It’s worth the time.

Although I’m still mad, the remade the whole damn RDR1 map inside RDR2 for future online stuff and they didn’t bother to just remaster RDR1 as a DLC? So fucking stupid. Would have been just a pure profit generator

RangerJosie,

Could have been amazing. But Rockstar only cares about selling shark cards.

Oh it will only make 18 dumptrucks of money? Sorry we only start a project if it makes at least 35 dumptrucks.

tacosanonymous, do games w What is your opinion about Read dead redemtion 1 in terms of graphics by todays standards?

It’s not as beautiful as the sequel but infinitely more fun to play imo.

Milan77,

I’m definitely going to try it 😊

Zarxrax,

Having not played either one of them yet, what do you think makes the first one so much better?

tacosanonymous,

It plays like a shooter. It’s silly and fun. I don’t have to travel as far or do cowboy sim bs.

RangerJosie,

So you missed the point of both games entirely.

Just say that up front in future discussions.

If you want murderhobo simulator GTAOnline and RDOnline are for you.

essteeyou,

Are you really telling this person to enjoy something a particular way, otherwise they’re wrong?

RangerJosie,

Yes. Now off you fuck.

essteeyou,

But wait, you seem like a really nice person that I want to talk to some more.

RangerJosie,

I generally am pretty chill. But RDR2 is the single single best game Rockstar will ever make. It’s a top 5 of all time. Story and gameplay. World building. Just all of it.

essteeyou,

I love the game.

HelluvaKick, do games w What is your opinion about Read dead redemtion 1 in terms of graphics by todays standards?

It looks fine and is extremely playable?

thorisalaptop, (edited ) do games w Is mafia 3 really that bad?

Unpopular opinion but I preferred Mafia 3 over 2. I don’t think any of them are great games, just solid ones.

Mafia 2’s story is good, but the game started to feel pretty repetitive for me quickly. “Get in car, drive somewhere listening to a conversation to move the story forward, shoot some people, repeat until game is over.”

Mafia 3 also feels repetitive, and can definitely start to feel grindy. But I think the main missions are better designed than 2, and the combat overall also feels better and more fun. So it’s a trade off: it’s an open world game so it’s got more filler to make it longer, but when it’s good it’s better than its predecessor (IMHO).
