Stardew valley :)

I wish there were a site I could report my specs to and get a list of playable games.

I have an 8th gen Intel i7, 32 gigs of memory and beyond SNES style games I have no idea what options there are for me

That looks like it. It’s been almost 6 years since I’ve had to use it though so I could be wrong

If we’re counting every Pokémon game as a single one, then that. Otherwise, probably Skyrim. I must have like 2000+ hours across all of its versions.

I built a $3,000 performance desktop a few years back, and the main games games I ended up playing on it were things like FTL, Shovel Knight, SNES emulators, and other games that could be run on an overclock ham sandwich.

TexMexBazooka,

Really curious what a $3000 performance bulld looks like

chiliedogg,

A few years back, a really nice graphics card was like $650, so $3,000 got you a lot of performance.

ggtdbz,

Unlike these days when it looks like 3000$ will get you a GPU and a water block for that GPU, if you want to spread your budget as thick as possible.

Wasn’t the original Titan like 1000$ and considered a ludicrously expensive piece of luxury tech?

Konraddo, do games w What games have you put the most hours into?

MMO wise, it has to be World of Warcraft. Played it nonstop when I was young.

2nd place is Oxygen Not Included.

Blackmist, do games w What games have you put the most hours into?

World of Warcraft and then Final Fantasy XIV.

And it’s not even close.

On and off for over a decade I’ve played the original Borderlands on xbox360, so definitely that.

chiliedogg,

I think that Borderlands still had the best gameplay loop because of its more random loot system.

You didn’t have the legendary items dropping from specific enemies, so instead of farming bosses for a specific item, you just run around playing the game. Every time you opened a chest it was exciting because there might be something good inside.

Oh, and the legendary guns could be stupid powerful. I got a Hellfire with my Lilith at level 25 or something, and it still melted enemies at level 70 because of the elemental effects.

If I could get that loot system with BL2’s story and level design and the Pre-sequel’s OZ kits I think it’d be perfect.

I have over 1500 cumulative hours invested in No Man’s Sky and Minecraft respectively. I am a casual gamer. I started playing Minecraft in 2012 and NMS in 2017.

gamermanh, do gaming w #StopKillingGames Update: Initiative reaches seven country requirement

These dual requirements feel a little wonky, wow

Can get to the 7 countries minimum with less than half of the other requirement met? Feels like the total signatures number shouldn’t be more than double the smallest possible 7 countries minimums combined

barsoap, (edited )

All minimums taken together only sum up to 497025. The million signatures is the actual hurdle, any campaign that is not horribly lopsided should easily get the seven countries.

The idea is that if your initiative is excessively national it has no business being a EU initiative.

A strange wibble is that small countries need more signatures per capita to count towards the minimum because they have more MEPs per capita. Which brings me to putain de merde où es-tu France.

That’s awesome, I thought they got murdered by Nintendo.

echodot,

Nintendo are suing them, but Nintendo sue everyone.

The Japanese copyright courts are stupid, it doesn’t matter how clearly something isn’t a case, it still goes to trial if one of the parties is big and important enough. They don’t seem to have proper separation of law and government. So political bigwigs can get involved.
