Damn that would be nice to join but it requires an invite

Rearsays,

What do you think that they’re looking for for the application to join?

It’s a private tracker. They want proof that you’re a good standing member of some other private tracker. So they’d want to see that you seed and have a good ratio.

They have an IRC chat. If you had skill cracking apps or something they might let you in that way.

dQw4w9WgXcQ, do gaming w What's the funniest game you've played?

Ultimate Chicken Horse might be one of the top party games for getting a laugh for me. It’s always fun to see someone hyperfocused to make a jump, only to get hit by an arrow, followed by a wrecking ball hitting them into a sawblade.

South Park: Stick of Truth and The Fractured But Whole I’d guess people either hate it or laugh their way through it.

Either Jazzpunk or Octodad: Dadliest Catch

Both had me laughing so hard I had tears in my eyes at various points.

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands if you’re into Borderlands-style games (shoot and loot). I’m not, but for the 45 minutes that I played, I laughed quite a bit.

And of course The Stanley Parable.

Not single player/story funny, but I don’t think I’ve absolutely lost it to any game (possibly even any thing) more than Gang Beasts. Get 8 friends together for a rumble and cry laughs will be had.

One time back when we were living in an apartment with an inward courtyard facing window, my wife and I were laughing so hard a neighbour threw something at our window to get our attention so they could shout at us to keep it down. It was only 10pm on a Saturday :/

I like LEGO games for their simple light-hearted humor and recreation of well known scenes from other IPs, esp. SW\LOTR ones.

The Precession To Calvery was hilarious from beginning to end.

I also love the humor in Portal 1 and 2.

Frog detective is also super cute and funny.

HipPriest,

You beat me to it because this game is genius!

Dongeon Keeper 2 for me. Killing scared heroes was really fun.

darkmogool, do piracy w Am I obligated to be a pirate in Starfield if I got the game via piracy?
nooneescapesthelaw, do piracy w Is anyone else like 10 times more likely to play a game they pirated versus one they bought?

For me personally i find that i play pirated games more lften than the ones i bought, i hate having to use the launchers it is a complete pain in the ass, they all require updates everytime i open them, they’re very sluggish and often try to shove ads and offers down your throat (with exception of steam). I own the dishonored series legitimately but i still play the pirated version.

One of my favorite games is Titanfall 2 and i don’t play it anymore so that i don’t have to put up with the cancer of the EA app

Conyak, (edited ) do piracy w Is anyone else like 10 times more likely to play a game they pirated versus one they bought?

I personally never pirate games. I don’t like dealing with the cracks and the bugs that often come with it. I don’t play more than a few games a year though so the cost isn’t too high. Pirating mostly involves movies and T.V. for me.

I used to avoid it too, but I was less worried about the bugs and more about possible viruses. When I realised there was a crack scene with certain uploaders that are trusted by the community I lost a lot of that worry.

Sharpiemarker, do gaming w hardware: use TV as a monitor?

I appreciate that you’re doing this on a budget. The only thing I can say is that a monitor doesn’t represent a significant portion of the build budget. A basic monitor can be had for under $100. Honestly a lot of tech-oriented people have extras laying around. I’ve had 3 extra 1080p monitors in my garage for the last few years. It’s entirely possible that someone may be giving one away near you.

variants,

I get tons at work during the ewaste drives, I use them at work but occasionally bring them home to upgrade friends or family

Thavron,
@Thavron@lemmy.ca avatar

I was at a goodwill recently and there was a slew of second hand cheap 1080p monitors

dom, do gaming w hardware: use TV as a monitor?

I’ve done it with an old cheap tv and it sucked and i got ghosting and choppy refresh rate. I’m sure if you get a decent modern tv would be fine though. I’d also want to check latency.

Disclaimer: i don’t know much about anything

dQw4w9WgXcQ, do gaming w The 8 hours escaping the Police Station in RE2 Remake are maybe the best 8 hours of gaming I've ever experienced

I’m a pretty big user of abbreviations, and usually I understand them. But some times my mind just gets locked and I can’t decipher the abbreviations, and I begin to wonder if we’re using too much of them.

RE2?

Red Ed Redemption 2?

Red Elert 2?

RunEscape 2?

Took me a while to arrive at Resident Evil 2.
