Wow world of goo has a sequel?? That’s huge news to me!!

I have played it so much on PSP.

I thought I am gonna give up on games and focus on home theater hobby but honestly why not both. World of goo 2 wow

Worst kept secrets, aka, clever marketing.

Am I the only one who loves the Switch? That the joycons come off and even have their own shoulder buttons is so cool. You can just set it on a table and play some multiplayer Mario Kart, heck yes. And they snap into the ring fit circle thingie! Neat! And the Pro controller is great all around.

Shout out to the DS Lite. Loved that thing. Gotta have the thumb strap to play that Metroid multiplayer FPS.

Worst: TI-84. How the hell they still charging over $100 for this thing, when it has less processing power than a Palm Pilot? Seriously the CPU is from 1976. Yeah Bubble Bobble and Block Dude are great, but the Zelda port runs awful.

sleepybisexual,

Switch is a good but underpowered home console. The joycons are just top flat.

All ds systems are cool.

Calculators are way overpriced, yet schools refuse to allow phones

derbis,

Love the switch. The only reason I’m still a console gamer at all.

Megaman_EXE,

I really like the switch. My only complaints are: I miss the 3DS like charm and customization.

I find it hurts to hold my switch in handheld for too long.

Otherwise, I think it’s a very neat machine

I saw him in my mates house the other day kissing a mirror? He said he is the only person he can kiss in the mirror or something.

Fiivemacs, do gaming w What's your favourite and/or least favourite gaming hardware?

Computer

Everything else is underpowered and gimmicky and overpriced with constant subscriptions to useless junk just to play a game.

There's quite a lot that can be gleaned from the depots for the game on steamdb: https://steamdb.info/app/1422450/depots/

I don't know if this information is already public but here are a couple of quick inferences I made by looking a the files. I'm not overly familiar with Valve's intellectual properties so I don't recognize any specific characters or franchises.

There's likely a hero named Yamato who has the abilities:

  • Shadow Form
  • Power Stance
  • Infinity Slash
  • Healing Slash
  • Flying Strike

There's a lot more hero information but that's the top one in the depots.

The game might be called "Citadel", or it may have just been called that internally at Valve.
The reason I suspect that is because of there appears to be a game folder called "citadel" which appears to be the main game folder.

arefx,

The game was called citadel and was half life themed, they dropped that for neon prime and made it Sci fi, they then dropped that aesthetic changed the name to deadlock and went to a supernatural early to mid 1900s NYC noir aesthetic. A lot of the files still use the citadel name, but it’s just leftover and means nothing anymore.

125hrs in the game over the last 6 weeks, it’s great.

If Little Big Planet for the PS3 and PS4 ever get a proper sequel or remaster, or the Restitched developers ever actually put out that spiritual successor it would be a no-brainer. It was a magical game series for me that was not only very fun to play but also inspired creative and logical thinking with the intricate community level maker tools built into the game. Especially LBP2 with its logic gate and microchip implementations. When I took real engineering classes I was familiar with many high level concepts just because I screwed around with them in a video game as a child. Crazy.

It was also a very cute and well done aesthetic. The gorgeous background enviroments and the little sack boy character you play as. The vibrant collection of music. It was very unique.

I vow to invite everyone from this thread if I receive an invite myself. steamcommunity.com/id/Wilzax/

Edit: added every friend code or profile link I could find under this post. Quick links are single-use so I couldn’t add those.

Game invites take an unknown number of hours to reach your account once sent. They seem to go out in waves. Happy gaming everyone!

Skammunist,

Did you get an invite? If yes, can you pass along here? steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197979280738/

Skammunist,

@Wilzax coming through! Got my invite, thank you! Hopefully see you online sometime!

  1. I feel like Steam has gotten rid of the invite thingy, because I can clearly see the “Buy Now” button.
  2. I don’t have VR 🥲

Nvm, I was looking at the wrong game. Doesn’t look even close to a Third Person Shooter. More like an Inside the Person Shooter

niktemadur, do astronomy w Size Comparison: Pluto and Australia

I’m digging the way the map shows Tasmania as part of the continental plate.

Piemanding,

Is it on purpose or is it because of ocean depth?

niktemadur,

The light blue part is shallow and when it’s underwater, they call it “continental shelf”.
Tasmania and mainland Australia are connected by the same, shared continental shelf.
