Man I used to have this as a kid, it took me literally years to beat the damn sniper training mission. Cause i was a stupid kid and didn’t understand the word stealth

Aussiemandeus,
@Aussiemandeus@aussie.zone avatar

The first fear game really scared me when I was younger. I was 16 maybe and that’s how I found out I don’t like ghosts haha.

Playing in ym room at night alone in the dark. Ghosts coming out that I can’t hurt haha

Fuck that was bad

Day 43 of posting a Daily Screenshot from the games I’ve been playing until I forget to post Screenshots (lemmy.world) angielski

Today’s game is The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. today was exhausting and i really didn’t feel like continuing Jedi Fallen Order tonight (still loving the game though), so i decided to take it easy and play Ocarina Of Time. I have a lot of fond memories of this game ever since i played the 3DS remaster in middle school....

Aussiemandeus,
@Aussiemandeus@aussie.zone avatar

Yeah certainly a solid article, unfortunately I haven’t felt the need to upgrade from civ 6 at all. So I probably won’t move on unless it is absolutely amazing

Aussiemandeus,
@Aussiemandeus@aussie.zone avatar

So certainly not a meme about the long haired house lady who is trying to defend our rights

Aussiemandeus,
@Aussiemandeus@aussie.zone avatar

Ocarina of time, 3d, lock on, one enemy attacks at a time. So much of modern gaming pulled from ocarina of time

Aussiemandeus,
@Aussiemandeus@aussie.zone avatar

Yeah I was annoyed by the stopping starting too, but I appreciate him laying it all out.

If the video was long enough to have everything readable it would go for an hour haha.

I hope Frost keeps producing actual content I really love his videos.

Aussiemandeus,
@Aussiemandeus@aussie.zone avatar

You bring up some great points, I feel bad for not giving you a solid reply but I’ve had my second bottle of wine with my wife and am drunk.

I didn’t bring the video here to champion frost, just to let everyone see because I have seen several posts about it prior to frosts video.

I’m sure all up everyone is to blame, almost always is the case but the world will decide who is more at fault.

Either way though, Nick doesn’t make contentI’m interested in. I would rather see everyone be entirely independent and succeed or fail on their own merits

Aussiemandeus,
@Aussiemandeus@aussie.zone avatar

Masters of Orion was a great game I had as a young kid. Never understood what I was doing until I was much older.

Got it in a scholastic book fair

Aussiemandeus,
@Aussiemandeus@aussie.zone avatar

I come to say stellaris too.

You won’t regret it, well maybe the countless hours you will lose to the game

Aussiemandeus,
@Aussiemandeus@aussie.zone avatar

Yeah I have been apprehensive about buying it cause I keep hearing it’s laggy

I also don’t like buying unfinished products but I also recognise the need for ongoing funding or ground up funding.

But I don’t want to throw money at something and find it’s a total disaster.

I might wait a little longer.

Cheers mate

Aussiemandeus,
@Aussiemandeus@aussie.zone avatar

That’s fair, so you can play on your own. That’s good to hear, I don’t have a great overlap with my gaming friends.

I’ll keep am eye out for a sale and give it a go then.

Aussiemandeus,
@Aussiemandeus@aussie.zone avatar

Farthest frontier is great, all the hype around manor lords made me go back and Farthest play fromtier again

Aussiemandeus,
@Aussiemandeus@aussie.zone avatar

I really enjoyed it, the hard scifi world building. I started to fall off in the later seasons with thr wormhole and shit

Aussiemandeus,
@Aussiemandeus@aussie.zone avatar

I listened to neuromancer on Audible earlier this year, I remember nothing haha

Aussiemandeus,
@Aussiemandeus@aussie.zone avatar

I think we’re still a ways off from this happening.

Populations are still growing and many countries GDPs are increasing too lifting more people out of poverty each year.

Eventually I think games will die off one by one as people age out and it’s not popular for younger audiences.

Finally in the end there will be 3 or 4 games owned by 2 companies fighting it out for complete control of consumers

Aussiemandeus,
@Aussiemandeus@aussie.zone avatar

I’m not talking regular games but the microtransaction hell holes big publishers are pushing now

Aussiemandeus,
@Aussiemandeus@aussie.zone avatar

Yeah my wife and I have played both and were part way through the third episode and are really enjoying it.

Aussiemandeus,
@Aussiemandeus@aussie.zone avatar

Huh, I was staring at outerwilds today thinking I should play again, but then immediately thought I’ll have to go here there here and realised it’s forever ruined for me.

So instead I’ve been playing stellaris.

Aussiemandeus,
@Aussiemandeus@aussie.zone avatar

Yeah? give a reason, not an opinion.

Best storey

Best gameplay

Best music etc.

If a game has all this it deserves to win each category.

The world where we give awards for turning up is a terrible world we live in.

If you’re not the best you’re not the best. Try harder

Aussiemandeus,
@Aussiemandeus@aussie.zone avatar

I keep coming back to hunter call of the wild,

Its just such a nice looking game with no real skill curve once you know not to go running through the bush hoping to see a dear, it takes patience.

On a hot day, put the ac on a nice cup of coffee and go walking through the bushlands looking at points of interest and maybe shoot me a dear all without sweating like a pig like i do where i live.

That game is the reason im moving south, im so tired of trying tondo anything and dying from the heat.

Aussiemandeus,
@Aussiemandeus@aussie.zone avatar

You won’t be disappointed, it’s a great game.

I never recommend games but this bg3 and outerwilds are my favourites

Aussiemandeus,
@Aussiemandeus@aussie.zone avatar

A lot of the cost in purchasing a game goes to the publishers not the developers though

The Feds Are Coming for “Extremist” Gamers (theintercept.com) angielski

Gaming companies are coordinating with the FBI and Department of Homeland Security to root out so-called domestic violent extremist content, according to a new government report. Noting that mechanisms have been established with social media companies to police extremism, the report recommends that the national security agencies...

I was in the Australian airforce cadets from 12 until 18 at which point i went to join the airforce but got am apprenticeship at the same time that paid more.

Many of my friends enlisted though.

Its certainly grooming, though

“If people knew what devs said (justifiably) about players when nobody is looking, the internet would implode.”

I feel that applies to every profession. Im a mechanic and sure we get a bad wrap on the internet for all the dodgy work and ripping off we do.

But when we’re dealing with customers and their cars are filthy gross and full f rubbish and they’re in for the dumbest of shit you just wish you could come back at them with facts and keep your job.

Aussiemandeus,
@Aussiemandeus@aussie.zone avatar

Yeah they’re staying for now, i hope that ANMA and so alright stay on the air too.

Nolan's "Tenet" Gets Re-Release Next Month? - Dark Horizons (www.darkhorizons.com) angielski

Warner Bros. Pictures is reportedly set to re-release Christopher Nolan’s “Tenet” in cinemas on February 23rd. The InSneider broke the story, saying the new run will reportedly include IMAX screens and will be in part to support the release of Denis Villeneuve’s “Dune: Part Two” which is set to arrive the following...

Aussiemandeus,
@Aussiemandeus@aussie.zone avatar

Who’s going to pay to see that at the pictures? Sure it’s a great movie, but it’s not worth spending 80 to 120 dollars for my wife and i to go watch again.

Especially when i would spend tbat money to watch dune two instead.

Not everyone is made of money and can afford the pictures twice a month.

Aussiemandeus,
@Aussiemandeus@aussie.zone avatar

Does the subscription bypass all their monetisation too? ( i know it wont )

I think the world can do far better without subscriptions to everything

Aussiemandeus,
@Aussiemandeus@aussie.zone avatar

Ah i remember those days

Aussiemandeus,
@Aussiemandeus@aussie.zone avatar

See that’s a great story, i worry things like that will have gone by the way side now.

I remember in halo accidentally shooting a team mate and crouching to apologise.

Weirdly in games that bought in waving etc, Day-Z etc if someone crouches i trust it if someoe waves i know they’re going to shoot my in the back

Aussiemandeus,
@Aussiemandeus@aussie.zone avatar

Now that’s some pay to lose shit if I’ve ever seen it.

Aussiemandeus,
@Aussiemandeus@aussie.zone avatar

Duck duck go web browser can set all that to necessary only for every website and you don’t have the pop up

Aussiemandeus,
@Aussiemandeus@aussie.zone avatar

I downloaded it on my phone jumped through their explanation stuff and it came up as a prompt option

You explore your solar system as the sun inevitably swallow you and everyone you love

Aussiemandeus,

Such a great game. If you have never played it you really should

Aussiemandeus,
@Aussiemandeus@aussie.zone avatar

I can’t wait for release of this, i like oblivion but the graphics have always been a challenge to my immersion
