PolyMC (with one L) is the launcher that had the controversy. Prism Launcher was forked from PolyMC, and PollyMC (with 2 Ls) is a new project forked from Prism Launcher.
The PolyMC controversy is that one of the devs went rogue and kicked everyone else off the project, so they didn’t really have a choice but to fork. They explain what happened on the FAQ of their website.
I recommend downloading every youtube video you enjoyed watching and start reuploading them to peertube (although, I fear that youtube might just file copyright claims against the peertube instance).
I believe most videos aren’t licensed for unrestricted redistribution, you’re putting yourself and/or your instance owner at risk by uploading content you don’t own.
However I support the general idea, I just don’t know what the best way to share the content safely would be
Actually not true, the way YouTube ads show up is more or less almost impossible for pi-holes to catch. There’s been some successes in the past, but then YouTube ads somehow find another way to circumvent it.
It takes some time to figure out, but basically you need to:
Install docker and docker-compose
Install portainer (optional, but my recommendation. Its docker app that provides simple GUI to manage all other docker containers)
Create docker-compose with configuration for qbit and gluetun, then load it in portainer using stacks (look for examples on google or aks again when you get to this part)
Done
Alternative is just setting VPN in your existing qbittorrent. Never tried that, but you should set everything using qbittorrent settings I suppose
Absolutely you can. There are absolutely no other, easier ways to circumvent it and this is absolutely not a failed attempt at sarcasm at how laughable their malware attempt is.
Even the "endgame" one is laughably easy to circumvent. I'm not giving them any hints though because Fuck Google.
I followed this from Ublock's Reddit page, it's working for now.
Current anti-adblock status: Latest fixed (ID: 462a8d5d)*
Please, remember these 3 steps:
Force update all your filter lists (click uBO icon > ⚙ Dashboard button > Filter lists pane > 🕘 Purge all caches > 🔃 Update now)
Turn off all other extensions AND browser's built-in blockers
Remove all your current custom filters AND custom filter lists that you have enabled / added manually (Adguard lists...)
It might be quicker to make a backup of your config and restore to defaults before proceeding to step 1.
Fixing anti-adblock can cause ads slipped. If you see any ads slipped, please report back the EXACT URL and your country when accessing the URL so volunteers are able to investigate.
The filter lists can be updated multiple times a day, so please always do step 1 before reporting.
About the ID above, it's the ID of YouTube's script that's used for anti-adblock, you can monitor it via this link: https://pastefy.app/G1Txv5su/raw (top to bottom is oldest to latest). It means that the current fix is matched with the script with corresponding ID.
If the latest ID (the last line) does not match the current one written above, it means YT has updated the new one and it might cause anti-adblock again. If it matches and you still get anti-adblock, kindly check the 3 steps above. Thank you.
